I'm saying it may be a settings issue, this problem was talked about before on the forum involving CM's where the game would not switch to stereo output due to soundcard settings being grabbed by the game, which caused people's client to use surround settings like 5.1 or 7.1
That doesn't mean stereo is trash, but driver setting are required to be compatible with the hardware that is being used.
If you wanna hear actual trash audio. Specifically footsteps give Fortnite a try lol.
@Wingmannedbro as I've very poor hearing in one ear and not great in the other, directional sounds are very difficult to pinpoint, esp footsteps, which can be a problem in apex in some circumstances. I can't wear headphones as that damages things further, upping the volume of the tinnitus.
Fortnite has a circular sound onscreen display which includes footsteps. I find this very handy as I'm sure others do. I would love if something like this was included into a future Apex update.
