regretful007 Sadly when it comes to toxic players in online games, its best to report the player, mute them in-game, (block them if you need to), and most importantly, to not respond to them.
Luckily, Apex does have a setting under the first settings tab for the voice and text chat which allows you to set it to "friends only" or to "no one". (I keep mine set to "friends only" as the game is a lot more enjoyable when I don't have to hear or read the endless waves of insults from other players who I'm not friends with).
Doesn't help when you're in diamond where communication is key. Muting teammates costs you communication. Main issue is the inability for them to monitor VC and their extreme rectifications for minor offenses. The insults used technically aren't covered under "hateful content" which specifically targets a person based on ethnicity, religion,etc. it would be considered name calling or hurtful speech. All in all it's an extreme based off of an automated system with no actual human reviews.
