It's an interesting beta test. 😛I can see the merit of a white or evo shield start, blue and purple is a little excessive in my book.The idea of starting with a p20 is great though, I'd rather put faith in my aim than my ability to punch in a FPS.

I'm stocked about this! This whole event was suggested by players. Really happy to see that we can try it out. I'm not sure about blue and purple armor, but it is definitely going to be interesting landing with some high tier loot. Now we only need to find a hammerpoint on hot-drop and there you have a recipe for a killstreak

@Koochi-Q Played about 9 or 10 matches today. Was really hectic at the beginning of one match because I dropped on hammer point rounds and decimated everybody.P.S I am new to the forums.

@Peri_Longbow_plz Maybe that’s the point. I think everyone who thought further than ‘hey now I got a gun to protect myself’ would’ve realized that:A) others (predominately premades) will coordinate attacks to attack singles right on the jumpB) those single-tappers will have a huge advantageC) the hotdroppers/good droppers land first and just stand, look up at the sky and start shootingThis will in turn cull lower skilled players or players with just bad luck out of that specific queue and let them play normal mode. So maybe this was a tactic of Respawn to let players know that this is not a desired ltm for ‘all’.

I LOVE IT!!! the white shield feels so fun!!!!! usually illl like crack someone and get nothing for it, in this mode it actually feels like the damage you do matters and evens the playing field

The only shield type you can wear, is the type you start off with.

I really like the idea of ability to defend yourself from the get go. I feel like this will speed up the game and make it more action and combat oriented from the get go.
Should be fun!

@EA_KentBut the question remains... will this mode allow for badge/stats improvement?

If so... easier high skill badge gettance (yes I verbed it :P). If not, I’m out.

PS: a while back I made a thread with the idea to let the public know if an LTM works towards getting badges and counting stats. Did you guys look into it? I think it’s a good idea myself

@EA_Kent Just a quick question, i noticed how it said nothing about cosmetics, is that true? Are there no cosmetics to be earned in this glorious gamemode?!?!

This needs to be permanent!
This is the way the game should always be, everyone in the same level of armor through out the game, your shields get knocked, you heal them up the same, and everyone at least has a pistol on drop.
I say toss out all the Armor for good and just make it the same, and the way the Holo Day Bash played out, if I had to thrown in more of my 2 cents, LOL, I'd say just make the game with everyone in Blue Armor, but at least a Blue Helmet! 🙂
P.S. If I remember correctly for the Holo Day Bash we had blue armor and a white helmet. HEY EA if you are reading this, that was the first time in playing the game, that it finally felt balanced and better playing, giving people a better level of success, with everyone at the same level of armor!
