@E9ine_ACever wondered why fortnite is 5x more popular than apex?
btw, i don't think most casual players care about this forum, that's why not many posters agree with me/disagree with you

@BaldWraithSimp I like fortnite too, except I don't do the building bit, and I'm over 50😃
- 5 years ago@OldTreeCreeper Nothing wrong with adults playing Fortnite. We don't judge!! xD
- 5 years ago@BaldWraithSimp I do judge! @OldTreeCreeper, you just want multiple kinds od thick leaves to hide in!

@OldTreeCreeper
Oh, God, The building stuff is why I couldn't play that game.
Honestly, until sometime last year, I believe, I avoided Fortnite because I just didn't really think I'd like any sort of BR game. But, eventually curiosity got the best of me, and I figured I would try to see what all the hype was about. I lasted one match. I didn't mind the gameplay so much, as far as the shooting and stuff, but the building aspect was a complete turn off. After that, I promptly deleted it for my hard drive and never touched it again.
Although, it is good to know that I don't mind the battle royale genre (obviously not, because I'm on here talking about and playing Apex). It just turns out I don't like a lot of the popular ones these days. I tried Fortnite, it was horrible. I tried PUBG, that was also horrible. And don't even get me started on CoD. Lol.Honestly, for all it's bumps and bruises, I am happy I found Apex. It was cool to find a battle royale that actually resonated with me, after trying so many of them that just did not appeal to me. turns out I don't have an issue with the genre, just how most companies approach it lol

@Koochi-Q you know I'm creeping there too 🥳 but really nothing I like better than killing a banana 😃

@JonStriker126 there are many stratigies around the building thing. Like grenades for example. They put up a box and incoming 6 grenades sorts that out, leaving them in shock both from the many explosions and as to why I didn't build, thence an easy kill. I also like to burn them out with fireflies, or wait till they build high enough to die from the fall if I take their structure out from under them. I burnt evert tree down in weeping woods the other day with fireflies strategically thrown. Also enjoyable is running over them in a truck and then reversing 😃
So much fun to be had, I could go on.....
Wasn't keen on pubg or cod either.

@Koochi-Q @JonStriker126 for your amusement I found this clip from a few months back (I don't really keep them other than to annoy my son who is a builder) that perfectly illustrates, slight of hand, distraction, creeping, using topography as cover, grenades and fireflies. You might like to give it a go 😃

@Koochi-Q You can judge me but I like fortnite xD I was one of those guys that played it religiously when it was hyped. I initially didn't like Apex when it came out (it took some getting used to in season 0). Got a win most seasons :P Nothing better than camping in a Bush or in a cardboard box and creeping forwards like something out of a cartoon xD I can't seem to play it well anymore as I just can't build as fast as these sweaty kids that construct a 5 tier mansion in 0.03 seconds.
@OldTreeCreeperI hear that! What did it for me was all of the partnerships. I've got a few of the marvel skins and played quite a few of the marvel events and enjoyed the star wars stuff (tho I missed out on the clone troopers skin r.i.p).I'm not a fan of pubg but again I've only played like two matches. CODs okay. I hated the futuristic crap. Much prefer the old school COD games. I've got cold war but I hate the guns. Warzone is okay tho.
- 5 years ago@OldTreeCreeper Wow no one even actually looked at you for long enough XD. Even my matches weren’t like this and I sucked at the game...
My matches ppl shot at every bush they saw XD. I didn’t play it long and didn’t play for longest time because it looked silly and I wasn’t interested in it but after like a year of nagging from 2 buddies I played it a lil for them... - hayhor5 years agoHero
Completed my pass last night.

@Koochi-Q I wear a small darkish skin and no backpack and am not adverse to being still and pretending I am a tree😃 also a small pick axe that does not stick put.
Seriously though, I think that other players are conditioned to be on the lookout subconsciously for bright colours (skins) and movement, which I can use to my advantage, umong other things.
For fun when the closing circles are over the right topography I can get helicopter wins (last season) without firing a shot. I usta love a xwing baloon combo win to drive my son off the rails 😃 There's more than one way to skin a cat.

You serial killer-in-the-making =_= no animal cruelty!

@BaldWraithSimpapex is also a game for kids, how come it's not as popular as fortnite?
- 5 years ago@NaRnIaaa Apex pegi = 16 (young adult)
Fortnite pegi = 12 (kids... prepubescent)
Other reason is Fortnite opened up BR for the general masses for young and old with it’s cartoony-esque style, whereas Apex came later and was just ‘another contender’ for BR throne.
more reasons are readily available to state but these 2 were just easy - OldTreeCreeper5 years agoHero+
@Koochi-Q while I'm a vegetarian, I see no cruelty in skinning a dead cat, it's already dead and past cruelty 😃
- 5 years ago@OldTreeCreeper Nothing is more alive than a cat! it has 9 lives! xD
- OldTreeCreeper5 years agoHero+
@Koochi-Q "Since time immemorial mankind has been plagued by the question, 'What do you do with a dead cat?" so says Simon Bond. He came up with 101 thinks to do with a dead cat! (in fact he came up with more!) 😃
- 5 years ago@OldTreeCreeper That’s like over 100 uses of peanuts George Washington Carver had except for grinding it up and making peanutbutter... xD.
- OldTreeCreeper5 years agoHero+
@Koochi-Q I'm not sure that ground up peanuts and dead cat would be a big seller😃
- 5 years ago@OldTreeCreeper You obviously haven’t been to asian countries XD
- OldTreeCreeper5 years agoHero+
@Koochi-Q that would be a no. Africa, Americas and Europe yes.
@OldTreeCreeper Well at least there's a possibility of you traveling sometime soon. As an American, a lot of the Eastern countries have been cracking down on foreign visitors, ESPECIALLY from the Americas, and with good reason. I doubt I'll be able to travel anytime soon.
The worst facet of the American people, is the self-centered, selfish, narcissistic lack of courtesy and care for anything other than Americans (and also frequently not caring about Americans as well) and themselves. You read any snippets of American passengers refusing to put on masks, or contracting Covid and STILL trying to travel abroad, or that one rich girl who got put in prison for four months because she wanted to see her boyfriend compete in some jet ski do-hicky? I read 'em. Not to be anti-American but, genuinely, as an American citizen, we're the worst.
- hayhor5 years agoHero@pastaclown Depends on where you live here. Where I grew up people are genuinely kind and not in a hurry. Where I live now people are a disaster.
- OldTreeCreeper5 years agoHero+
@pastaclown @hayhor I was in Boston in the '80's and I have to say I was treated royally. But I had the advantage of an irish accent 😃. I was there on a student visa and Band aid was a feature of the summer. Only thing I really remember noticeing was the lack of foreign news on the tv, but that wouldn't be the case now with the Internet, just fake news 🙌
