Before cross platform: account merge?

I feel like this would be the best thing for the game. Many people have dropped personal money into accounts on consoles and in some cases find that they can't play the game on that console anymore so they must switch to their backup console. But alas they must start over completely having lost all of those limited event cosmetics and Heirlooms and the wondrous legends they have grown to love and cherish.
I could see this really granting the game a new life and even entice some players who dropped the games because of a console giving out or their PC's can't run the game. Especially now that it is out on Steam where more people have been willing to access it on PC rather than console it would truly be the biggest way to allow the players to enjoy the game entirely without having to sacrifice everything they once had. For instance an Octane Heirloom or a particularly favorite Grand Soiree Pathfinder skin. Even Battlepass weapons are simply to hard to give up in light of being able to play the game I know it's not as often a scenario but it does exist. I for instance have been having many issues with my ps4 and would love to play the game on PC but I really can't stand the idea of having to start over fresh at level 1 with none of my weapon skins and legends. I would truly miss my Octane Heirloom and the XL-R8 skin.
