Can't agree here. I landed yesterday with an enemy BH - I got a TT and he got nowt. What was he supposed to do? Just stand there and let me kill him? He got two punches in before I downed him.
A punch does more damage than most bullets, so it seems more logical (in an Apex way) that a punch would knock you back more than a bullet.
I win most melee v weapon CQCs unless it's against an automatic weapon. I don't want that to change.
- Lord_Scorpion345 years agoLegend@EdwardDLuffy You don't want it to change cuz it favors you lol. But it really doesn't make any sense. I know Apex isn't realistic but getting shot is pretty traumatic to the body. If getting shot can slow your movement, it should be able to cancel or at least slow a punch.

I think this is a good idea. I think it would be realistic as well and would make fights much more fair, considering you're at a severe disadvantage when you have a weapon and the opponent only has his fists. I think I would furthermore suggest that every bullet should cancel throwing of grenades or any abilities that are currently in their activation phase. That way I can keep the Wraith from running away. I mean I'm shooting her with bullets, how can she still flail her arms around? Or how can a Bangalore use a heavy smoke launcher while having severe chest pain from the 3 bullets that drilled her?
Jokes and severe sarcasm aside, I feel like people are missing the point of the melee feature. I have times when people intentionally drop near me and grab every gun they can get before me. So now I would have to run away because melee makes little to no sense. While being slowed by incoming bullets unless I have a fortified character, who is slower by proxy. So either way, I lose. Not just will this make people rage quit even more than they already do, but also will this make dropping hotspots redundant. And if I run out of ammo, I can basically just sit still and get killed.
Also, for those claiming that punching is overpowered obviously haven't received a proper punch yet. A well aimed punch can fracture internal organs or knock a person unconscious in one go. Talking about your average punch. The punch of a trained person can do much more and kill a person in a single blow. Just saying. If you don't believe me, get a friend and ask him to properly punch you just a little below your chest. Tell me how long it took for you to get back on your feet.
- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@EdwardDLuffy Pretty much yeah or run off, but you should not be getting punched to death when you're the one who has a gun. It's a horrible game mechanic.
- 5 years ago@DarthValtrex Well I agree with that and long have said that melee damage is ridiculous high (unless its Pathfinder - getting punched by a robot will really hurt).

@EdwardDLuffy I'm going to post a video of me getting punched to death by 3 people who dropped right on me. I downed ONE and nearly downed 2 others. They proceeded to knock my only teammate who had an RE-45, it was dumb. It shouldn't be happening. It's a bad game mechanic that absolutely no one likes. It makes absolutely no sense that a punch stuns you more than being shot. The clip is uploading now.
When this happens there is absolutely NOTHING you can do. Just put a 5-10 second lock out on punching when dropping into the game. It would solve the problem and others. For example lots of preds won't put their trails on unless they are playing with a premade because they get punched to death on drop...
