Blue Yeti & Razer Headset Mic Picking Up Noise (only on Apex)

Does anyone else use a Blue Yeti mic?  I have no issues with my mic when I use it on Discord, Zoom, Streaming and other games but on Apex for some reason it picks up everything. I don't even hear my air conditioning running (central air) but whether I'm using open mic (when I play with my friend) or push to talk people are always bitching about my mic being bad/annoying and it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel.  I've tried the mic built into my headset (Razer) and have the same problem for some reason. I've tried adjusting the settings in game but doesn't seem to solve the issue.

Has anyone else had this issue? Anyone have any solutions to resolve this?

  • Most of the voice chat programs have good audio processing and built in noise cancelling features, Apex does not have them. Best way to block ambient noise is using the noise cancelling features of the microphone software or using unidirectional boom microphone.

@el7uarvszheo besides different settings on the Blue Yeti I don't think there's any actual software I can change them from. Hopefully one day Respawn/EA add those to the game. People have tried to say "no it's your mic not the game" and the "Blue Yeti is garbage". Blue Yeti makes some amazing mics that aren't carrying a super high price tag.
