Match us with people who use Comms

Why is it not possible to put players with a recognised history of in game communication to those without. The amount of times teammates refuse to communicate is terrible, especially as you climb the ranks.

  • I don't think the game knows who has a history of mic use and who doesn't, but if it did then you would first need to filter for people who use comms and commonly get comms bans, and then you would be adding comms use to an already very lengthy list of matchmaking filters. And the system is so strained as it is right now that we're working with about three or four matchmaking buckets instead of the 10 or 12 this game really needs. I'd settle for six or seven and that would still be a compromise.

The thing to remember is that if you use your comms effectively it can still make a big difference in outcomes even if your squadmates are not mic-ed up. Beyond that this game really demands a full stack. Especially as you climb the ranks.

  • I don't use comms.... because of the absolute garbage I've had to put up with. The amount of times someone was playing music in the background, talking to friends, just making god awful noises, or you some are too loud, others too quiet. Then the toxic gamers... seems to be more of them. How many times do you expect someone to get sworn at, called names and belittled because the other person did something stupid, but as no insight ("everybody's fault but my own") syndrome - before they give up on comms.

It is not worth it. I have had great games using the ping system.
