Can Alter's Ult only be used by one team member and then it becomes useless?

Thanks but I still don't understand.

Can everyone in team use it seperately or if i use it does my team have to use the teleport I open?

Like specific exemple. we are in the middle of a fight and 2 of us get knocked down in seperate places. Can each of the knocked playerrs open a different way to the machine? Or does one open the portal and the other has to use the portal that was open by the first one?
