Can someone explain how matchmaking works?

I don't understand how I am constantly on the right side of the spere in player skill distribution. And I don't mean slightly to the right off middle, I mean far right. EVERY GAME! 

I genuinely have no right being there and its so unfair!! 
I play in lobbies with GOD players. 
I literally die in tghe first fight 90% of the time. 
I have a KD of 0.77% (My worsy EVER!!!)
I PING at 220 meaning I am already disadvantaged 

All I want is to have fun games, but APEX isn't fun anymore. Please, can someone tell me why I am being put there and is there a way to reach out to someone to look at my account and somehow stop putting me in a category i clearly don't belong?
