Can't join friends in firing range

So my friend is in a different lobby and already in the firing range with another person so I try to join their firing range and it says joining game then goes black and you see the little apex loading icon in the bottom right corner and it keeps loading for atleast 2-3 minutes and then throws me fully out of apex legends. I'm so confused has this happend to anyone else or just me?
