These patch notes were pretty questionable in this way. I'm only vaguely familiar with who Reptar is, but making a joke of calling him/her out by name is also a bit of a bad look. I suggest they drop the folksy, familiar manner and stick to the facts.

you are confusing two different things with each other or misunderstanding something. Reptar is a pro who found a direct sightline from his spawn on Phase runner to enemies and got a knock, so they patched that by adding some extra trees. Hence his name in the patch notes as friendly banter. You are taking this way out of context

Nope I understood that completely. I think it's a bad look for them to be "cute" in patch notes, full stop.
Even the guy mentioned in the patch notes doesn't take it seriously, but sure if it offends you...
Caustic WAS very powerful in the old maps especially in KC. Is that still case in this genesis event in OG KC? I haven't used him since the event started.
