Character models

This is something I hadn't really noticed until the other day after @DarthValtrex pointed it out. Playing as different character models is very strange. You go from playing a few games as someone like Octane then switch out to someone like Revenant and you feel so much taller its ridiculous. Like I'm staring down at everyone.

I suppose it makes chasing everyone down as a murder bot more interesting. It's just something I never really take much notice of.

  • @GH0STEDbyMEYup! There is that and the different play styles. I have noticed that people who have mained path or wraith, tend to go for other mobility legends.. Whether it's Octane Horizon or what.. Similarly people who like defensive legends tend to opt for Ramp, Caustic, Gibi and the like..

I have my legends I like Wraith, Wattson, Caustic, Bang are probably the main 4. Caustic was the only big hit box defensive legend I got good with. Gibi is great but I'm horrible with him.

While they do run at the same speed, their size does impact movement and quite a bit. If you play wraith a lot you'll find it's easier to slide. If you switch to caustic you'll find yourself crouching half the time you try and slide. You'll also find yourself running into walls or getting stuck in doors. Gibi is the worst, I absolutely hate going near buildings when I play as gibi. I get caught up on everything and stuck.

Most caustic mains I have played with like to bait enemies to them. Most wraith mains like to push..  It's very interesting seeing the different play styles.

  • @GH0STEDbyME I remember once I was playing as Pathfinder and this Voidwalker Wraith got a little too close to me. I was just looking down at her small stature, tracking her with inhuman accuracy and every single one of my Flatline bullets were headshots. That made me laugh a little IDK why.
  • @GH0STEDbyME =_=...

How did you not notice this before?! You wanna get 360 kicked in the groin?! HUH, DO YA!?!

I always notice this when changing characters with different heights. Especially if I go from one of my regulars to suddenly lifeline or wraith...

It’s also why so many ppl say it’s fraudulent playing wraith cause it feels like playing Oddball back in the day...
  • @GH0STEDbyME  I'm used to it personally, seeing as I don't main legends.

I will admit that transitioning from pathfinder to wraith or vice versa does tilt me a little bit though. Like obviously the movement speed and ease of movement (abilities omitted) is exactly the same...but its bizarre how different the two feel in comparison to each other lol.
