Cheaters' latest trick - Disguising as Pros

I'm probably a similar player to yourself and share the same view of cheating. It does seem as though cheating has become normal. I try to stay positive although it can be a challenge.

Why there isn't a blanket crackdown on cheating I don't know. It seems like the world changed in it's attitude to wrongdoing. It used to be "don't do something that is wrong" now it's "do it if you can get away with it".

The last good times for me were in BF2 and up until the end of the first year in BF3. That was when PunkBuster seemed to be bypassed by some kind of injected hack. I don't know if that's true or not.

Is cheating in games these days going unchecked, or are we being irrational?

If it is going unchecked why is that?

Is it because of the attitudes of business in this social and political environment? Are the anti-cheats on a leash because of concerns about their legality or a fear of bad PR?

Or is it that the hackers cannot be caught because their hacking is too difficult to detect, or are there too many hackers to cope with? Are they too persistent and too many?

Are they impossible to reach because of international borders?

Why do people keep cheating and why don't they give a damn about other players?

Every day I hope cheating will be under control but it just goes on, and on and on.
