You know what would be a good addition to the game? Not exactly a profile but a character description for each player. How this works out: you go to a tab before an actual match starts. You have a couple of traits like ‘rusher’, ‘defender’, ‘observer’ and so on... or maybe just 3 general like ‘offensive player’, ‘defensive player’ and ‘looter’ or something. At character selection, next to your name or below it or something you can see your team’s play style. That way you’ll know if you have a team that likes to push or a defensive on where ‘enemy 100m’ doesn’t mean CHAAARGE only to find yourself alone 10m from the enemy. Now it’s a wait and see situation all the time. Even if an enemy is 20m away and you see such good opportunities to strike yet you see your team either waiting or looting... just this one basic addition would clear up a lot I think. It’s always situational, you’re not gonna rush when you’ve got worthless weapons in most cases... unless you just want to die. So what do you think?[EDIT] this is just a descriptive thing, so it’s not for matchmaking or anything. Just for your team to know what kind of person you generally are. @boy_HoodleBut that’s the thing. It’s a profile add-on. It isn’t weighed in with any other parameters for selecting a teambuild. It’s just to know what kind of team you have.If it’s just this basic feature, ppl aren’t gonna leave either if they see ‘ohh my team has 3 different play styles’ or ‘ohh 2 looters, wonderful’. If it forces 3 different play styles into what makes a team, then yes, matchmaking will suck even more than it does now@BaldWraithSimp you get it Stare 😉 I’m way ahead of ‘matchmaking ppl’ 😜 I am too polar opposite of green to make such rookie mistake suggestions. I should be on the ideas team over at Respawn! I could be rich in a month with my ideas xD

@Koochi-Q Theoretically its great. A lot of battles are lost with players making the wrong assumption about what their teammates are doing and therefore what they should be doing. I lean towards defensive and if I know I have two aggressive teammates it makes my decisions in battle simpler.In regular matches it would be awful though. Players will immediately leave a match if they don't see at least one other aggressive member on their team. "Looters" will be harassed and likely hide as "Defenders" making the tag worthless. Would be useful in Ranked.

@heme725 i actually think it's more to do with the fact lots of people think "yo im just aggressive and attacking im no camper" when really they just have really poor tactical/strategic intelligence.Majority of games I see losing is due to overeager players attacking opponents who hold advantageous positions.The alternate of this, is overeager players giving up advantageous positions to go and attack.It's one of the things I hate most about playing Apex.

@Koochi-Q Personal problem, my playstyle frequently changes between games, like a weird bi-polar disorder. Sometimes early game I'll want to fully loot a place before I move on or I'll hear some gunfighting in the next area over and rush over to 3rd party with a fresh gun and a white shield.

@Extremejinks Yea, it’s situational, but the ‘basic play style’ stays the same I think. If someone is an offensive player, (s)he’ll choose attack over looting if the base condition is met, say one auto gun and one gun that can do dmg. A defensive will stay back usually and a looter... well we all know they just suck... xD

Nah, I know everyone hates me referencing overwatch and wow, but overwatch died at the most rapid pace when they started trying to save the game with new ways to queue, first it was forced 2/2/2 due to brig, basically wattson of overwatch, who made the meta 3 tanks 3 healers, so anyway, people didn’t like that because majority chose dps and then dps had 5-10 min ques sometimes an hour at higher ranks, so I imagine everyone who’s ever seen an apex gameplay on YouTube is gonna pick aggressive , higher the que times for others, and you’re gonna get all kinds of bad people on your team due to sbmm, best thing they can do is backtrack to better versions of the game. Like pre s3

You’ve had the torture of knowing me longer so you already guessed what I meant :P but I edited my post but still you make one post and worded it out better XD. @1ronKeys I have to mix it up a bit. Can’t have ppl thinking I’m too predictable 😜

I had some styles ready tho, but I was already tired so even my english broke down in my head and opted for this kinda thread :P this time I just really wanted to know what you guys/gals thought about the idea. It’s likely never gonna be implemented, but if it does, I’m suing Respawn if I don’t get compensated! :P

@Koochi-Q To be fair the only down side to your idea is that people would start complaining that "WhY dOeS tHiS gAmE nOt PaIr Me WiTh PeOpLe WhO sHaRe My PlAyStYlE?!" Otherwise it's not bad. At least then when I'm camping a good defensive position and look at the mini map to see my "offensive" teammate run off into the distance, I can say "welp... should have seen that coming."
