I got my PS5 last year in late September so for it's birthday I decided to make some changes. I put together a short video. Now I just need a new controller or to update my current one! I was thinkin...
@DarthValtrexother than the crazy drift I've been getting now I love it. Although Sony has gotten greedier as time has gone on. I wish it had full backwards compatibility since Sony has an enormous library & also they took away features like storing media on it & they don't currently have themes on this one. And I still don't understand why they put such little base space in it when the previous gen was 1TB.
But what they've done with the controller is awesome. The way it vibrates in different game scenarios & how the triggers can adapt depending on what you're doing is unmatched with anything else.
I'm sure I'll like it even more once I get a 4K HDR TV. But it still looks better than PS4 on my 12 year old 1080P Sony.
@pandareno1999yeah it's available for pre-order ATM . So I ordered new analogs cuz the kit comes with the tools I need to take apart my controller & I will be buying a new controller today. I've decided I'll start building my own custom controller via aftermarket with the original. I'll text it out after each mod to make sure it's working properly then continue adding on until I'm satisfied with it. This will cost more in the long run but I feel I'll be more satisfied. Cuz for 200 bucks I'd at least like to get LED buttonsv& from I've seen no company is offering that. Power A used to make a controller for the PS3 that had LED buttons. Only drawback was it didn't use Bluetooth & used 2.4ghz. Still I loved that controller until it wore out. Then I couldn't find it again.
I'll make a thread when I start messing with my controller.
I picked up a new controller yesterday until I start working on the original one. Joined the dark side completely lol.
Btw I know my controller issues kinda hijacked the thread a bit 😅 but please if you have any pics of your modded console &/or controllers please share lol.
@Lord_Scorpion34 My white dualsense is turning a yellow a bit probably being placed near a window and a year of use. Might pick up a black one too so that I don’t have to worry about discoloration.
The dualsense’s battery sucks which only lasts me for 6-8 hours. My switch pro controller lasts for literal weeks (40 hour battery life).
Anyone planning to get one those $200 dualsense edge controllers?
@Cheese9Man@hayhorI've never actually gauged how many hours I get out of my controller. I wanna say about a day & a half of play. Usually a day of playing is maybe 4 or 5 hours? I'll start paying attention to that. The 1 thing I do hate tho is it takes so long to charge! Like what's the point of having USB-C if it isn't gonna charge fast!?
Cheese I would've got the Edge (still might down the road depending on real world reviews) if it had 2 things. 1 LED buttons to see in the dark. 2 didn't come in white. Or gave me an option to make it another color.
Also just saw where someone is already selling the controller for $800 🤣
Hayhor do you turn those off on all games or just certain ones? I've never felt the triggers hinder me, but I've never played with them off either.

So just a quick update. The controller I just got in January is already drifting! This is almost criminal. The newer controllers were supposed to take longer to drift & this 1 is doing it faster than my original 😩🙃🤬😫! I'll be reaching out to Sony but I need to find my tools & try to fix the other 1 first.
In other news I also updated my TV finally. I went from a 32in 1080P Sony that I've had for nearly 13 years to this 55in 4K HDR Hisense.
I can def see farther in game which has improved my mid-long range accuracy. Although I still haven't been able to fully get 120hz. My old Sony I could turn it on & off at will but this TV it goes based off the game & other content which I don't necessarily care for. I'd rather be able to control when I want the high refresh rate. It's a great TV for the price tho.
@Lord_Scorpion34 Lol the first thing I did was shut off the vibration and adaptative triggers. Vibration to lengthen battery life. Adaptive triggers because they hinder performance.
