Controller aim assist
Please separate the MNK and controller servers already. I'm sick and tired of having the game ruined by aim that's like a cheater's.
Thank you for taking the time to explain to people why it is that we can't talk about how to handle pc controller aa until we figure out how to separate controllers by platform. People just don't seem to get it.
"Aim assist is what's allowing MNK and controller players to coexist together instead of separating them."
My personal preference would be for Respawn to stop trying to force us to coexist, but until that happens we need a mechanism in place to attempt to level the playing field. AA doesn't level it, but it's better than nothing. Yes, I'm sorry that kbm players have to deal with pc controller players. No, I'm not sorry that they have to deal with console controller players because, imo, they still have every advantage and those advantages only become greater as you move up the skill ladder.
Honestly, if they are going to insist on cross play, then the only fair way to do it is force PC players on to controller and then everyone is using the same movement and aim assist options.
They won't, because they are cowards and the streamers would complain. But it's the only way to have fair crossplay.
I love the idea of forcing PC players onto controller. Not because I like telling other people what to do or how to do it, but because I really do believe in a "one design" approach. The problem, of course, is that cheating is rampant on PC. Although now, so I'm told, it's also rampant on console. But even before we get to the problem of cheating, there's the problem of after market controllers and some of the nonsense they let players get up to. Hell, Xbox has got in on it with the elite. I would also like to see devs, Respawn in particular, be a lot less generous in allowing such a wide range of controller settings. I doubt anyone but the pros use them, much less understand what they even do or change, and it's yet another example of dev-sanctioned unleveling of the field. Maybe that's more illusion than reality, but why create the illusion to begin with? Just to frustrate people who don't play ten hours a day, six days a week?
