Controller aim assist
Please separate the MNK and controller servers already. I'm sick and tired of having the game ruined by aim that's like a cheater's.

Instead of being so negative here are the positives.
Aim assist is what's allowing MNK and controller players to coexist together instead of separating them. If aim assist is removed controller players will be completely wiped out and this is a proven fact, the PHYSICAL limitations of controller stops them from having a chance against MNK. Also they are majority of the population and the game that you enjoy will lose so much of their resources it will struggle to survive. On top of that MNK players will struggle even more with matchmaking and queue time.
Try understanding why aim assist even exist. The zero reaction time argument out there is flawed, MNK had constant input in any direction it moves but controller sticks don't. The sticks requires movement away from center point to have input which means when moving back into center point there is no input which is why rotation aim assist is needed. Without aim assist even if a controller player has elite reaction time it won't matter because they will always lose milliseconds whenever they need to return back to center point, aim assist just fills that gap so they are more even with what MNK does.
MNK player can move their mouse any direction and always have input. The sticks don't for example tracking a player going left to right is very different on the sticks. Input goes from center to left but going from left back to center has NO INPUT. It is only once the stick returns back to center they can get input to go right. There is no solution for this limiation on the sticks besides aim assist.
Does aim assist make controller players more consistent? Yes but is it enough to the point MNK doesn't have a chance the answer is no and the gap is between the 2 input are smaller than people realize. The last 3 ALGS is won by 3 triple MNK teams. In Apex Legends decision making and positioning matters way more than just aim. I think people should be honest with themselves and take accountability, majority of the time a MNK player dying to a controller player has a lot more to do with other factors than aim assist.
Thank you for taking the time to explain to people why it is that we can't talk about how to handle pc controller aa until we figure out how to separate controllers by platform. People just don't seem to get it.
"Aim assist is what's allowing MNK and controller players to coexist together instead of separating them."
My personal preference would be for Respawn to stop trying to force us to coexist, but until that happens we need a mechanism in place to attempt to level the playing field. AA doesn't level it, but it's better than nothing. Yes, I'm sorry that kbm players have to deal with pc controller players. No, I'm not sorry that they have to deal with console controller players because, imo, they still have every advantage and those advantages only become greater as you move up the skill ladder.
In my case, the matchmaking can't get any worse, so I don't care at all.
For the past two weeks, Wildcard matchmaking has been the worst in the history of this mode.
Constantly pairing Bronzes with Preds in the same lobby, and half the lobby is 3-stacked. Constantly getting stuck in lobbies with the same players is no longer funny, but rather pathetic.
Honestly, if they are going to insist on cross play, then the only fair way to do it is force PC players on to controller and then everyone is using the same movement and aim assist options.
They won't, because they are cowards and the streamers would complain. But it's the only way to have fair crossplay.
I agree. If they don't give MnK separate lobbies then they need to ban MnK. Having tried both, MnK is way too broken to play against controller. There is no way I can think of a controller player can get even one shot in on them since the movement is so much faster. The only way I have gotten kills against MnK players in Mixtape is when I go into a room with two other people and take an MnK player by surprise, or I use hipfire and happen to get lucky, which also usually involves a sneak attack. Otherwise, all they have to do is flick their wrist to not get shot, and their shots are way too accurate just by moving their mouse pointer over the target. Definitely not fair to have them in the same lobby. The only fun matches are lobbies that are mostly controller players. When you consider how much cheating is dominating the game right now as well, MnK just creates more confusion when trying to determine whether or not a person is a cheater or an MnK player.
MNK's movements are insane, and if you can even land shots, it's only because of hours and hours of practice. Normally, you just can't hit like that.
Even pros all say they can't beat a pad player in 1v1. A pad player who's put in just 2,300 hours might stand a chance against a pro, but the reverse is impossible. You've got nothing.
I love the idea of forcing PC players onto controller. Not because I like telling other people what to do or how to do it, but because I really do believe in a "one design" approach. The problem, of course, is that cheating is rampant on PC. Although now, so I'm told, it's also rampant on console. But even before we get to the problem of cheating, there's the problem of after market controllers and some of the nonsense they let players get up to. Hell, Xbox has got in on it with the elite. I would also like to see devs, Respawn in particular, be a lot less generous in allowing such a wide range of controller settings. I doubt anyone but the pros use them, much less understand what they even do or change, and it's yet another example of dev-sanctioned unleveling of the field. Maybe that's more illusion than reality, but why create the illusion to begin with? Just to frustrate people who don't play ten hours a day, six days a week?
Bro look at genburger on mnk he would fry himself if 1v1 himself on controller you just need to get better and stop whinging, you have way more advantages on mnk you just suck
What a bunch of bizarre weirdo takes in here.
Force PC players onto controller is fair?
What are you people on about? OP is asking for separated lobbies, not even an adjustment to the grossly over-tuned assist. If you think the assist isn't enough or can't feel it, you are in the lowest skill bracket of this game, and that's okay, but to chime in and say others are the problem. Wow.
I really hate how modern developers got so lazy with trying to make things "fair" by giving roller kiddies a bunch of assist. It's now become this endless feedback loop of delusional low skilled players gaslighting others with actual passion and skill, wanting to actually aim in shooters. If you play FPS games, you should have to aim. Why is this so controversial these days. WTF has happened to this genre.
If you want to play shooters, you should have to aim. End of story. Aim assist is the laziest, cheesiest solution to a simple problem, separate inputs, or at least make it so roller kiddies get their servers, and then the MnK server can be open to rollers without aim assist. That's fair, that's how it should be, anything other than that is insane nonsense.
Even a beginner has a chance to beat Genburten on controller, which is ridiculous. A MnK beginner would never beat him.
Even if I were better on MnK, it takes forever to reach the same level compared to controller.
