Aim Assist is one of those things that gets talked about a lot, but like a few had said already, what we're seeing is people using cheats, (however, instead of running software, they're using hardware).
There's multiple pieces of hardware players use that is bannable, such as:
- Strike Packs - Gives players anti-recoil scripts and extra buttons
- Cronus Zen - Gives players anti-recoil scripts and macros
- XIM - Translates M&K into controller inputs, (this is why you'd see someone moving while looting, despite being a console player)
I've seen legit console players and had even played on an Xbox, PlayStation 4, (and 5), on the Switch, and on PC with a controller. None of the players who are playing legitimately have god-like aim just because of the Aim Assist, (while when I played on console, (or on PC with a controller), I still had to aim at other players).
Furthermore, (from what I've noticed), if you use the controller's gyro on the Switch, it will disable the Aim Assist, (so if you're seeing a Switch player using the gyro with "Aim Assist", that's most likely a person using XIM).
