Can you please make it so we can get crafting materials easier and faster? I've been playing for hours today, and don't even have 100 crafting materials. Why?Is it so people spend real money on Apex Packs? At this rate it will take 6 months to a year just to unlock one Legendary Skin.You can either spend your entire life grinding day in and day out just to unlock a few legendary items per year, or spend real money on apex packs.How about you give us more rewards for doing good in each match, based on our level? How about you give us some crafting materials each match? The better you do, the more you get.I've been playing for days straight, and only managed to get enough crafting materials to unlock one epic cosmetic. If you could unlock better weapons and abilities like this, it would be pay to win.

@TheTechGenius I dont spend 6+ hours a day on this game and have been at 500 for a bit now. I have played since the beginning and I continue to play the game simply because I enjoy playing.You actually get a lot of stuff for paying absolutely nothing to play this game. As darth has said the cosmetic pack purchases are what keeps the game going.

If you make it to level 500 you’ll get 180 apex packs for free, that’s $180 worth of apex packs. You can get other premium content by completing the various events. You’ll get some legendary content from 180 packs. @TheTechGenius You have to purchase COD and BF... this game is FREE and you do get rewards for doing well, you’ll level up and get apex packs which give you a chance at premium content and crafting materials.

@DarthValtrex Nothing to work towards after level 500 though.I agree with you both to a certain extent but there isn't anything persuading me to play currently. We could have something like the event challenges to grind towards but without the need for an event. It doesn't necessarily need to be skill based but the more you play the more you earn would incentivise players not to leave and why so many have complained about legend tokens that can't be spent.Excluding @MandatoryIDtag who can recolour everything and is legend token poor by being coin rich. 😛I have BP 1-5, level 500 and all legend skins i'm after. I now have nothing to work towards so i'll wait till S6 for new content in the mean time being drawn to other similar games. Not all who would will return and as the BR market is ever more competitive i think they should be actively encouraging more people to stay one way or another.

You can get a ton of content for free. If you make it to level 500 you’ll get 180 apex packs for free, that’s $180 worth of apex packs. You can get other premium content by completing the various events. You’ll get some legendary content from 180 packs. That is actually a substantial amount of free content for a free game.

@DarthValtrex And what about casual players that dont have that much time or money to invest in a game?

I already bought the battle pass. But for new casual players to reach level 500 is an INSANE amount of grind time. Hell, most players won't ever reach level 500 because they will probably move onto a different game before they reach level 500.

This is the problem with free to play games. They are really not for the every day casual player. They are more for the hardcore player that spends 6+ hours on the game every day.

Me personally, I rather pay for the game upfront, and have a great experience with unlocking stuff and getting rewards for how good I do in game.

And don't get me wrong, gameplay wise, Apex is a great game, and its extremely stable. And its actually pretty well balanced. Other BR games seemed to be rushed, updates feel rushed, and other BR games just feel very unfinished and extremely buggy. Apex feels complete as a base game, stable, and very fun.

I just wish there were more rewards based on how good I do per match, that's all.

@TheTechGenius Then I guess you won’t get premium content? I don’t see the issue with the current system.

The game is not for casual gamers because they can’t/won’t get enough premium cosmetics for free? I don’t see how, it’s just cosmetics they have 0 impact on game play. You can be just as competitive as someone who has most of the in game content unlocked.

@DarthValtrex It's not about the cosmetics giving you any kind of gameplay advantage. Its about getting rewarded for playing and doing good.

That's one of the reason why people like COD and Battlefield. Because when you level up, you get rewarded. When I started playing the new COD, I unlocked items and cosmetics every other match. That's what keeps people playing, getting rewarded for playing the game.

And I'm not talking about premium items you can only buy with premium currency. I'm talking about Rare, Epic, and legendary cosmetics that take so long to get up the materials to unlock them. Forget legendary items, it takes forever to get up 1,200 crafting materials.

I can see why some people dont play apex for very long though. Playing the game day in and day out for a year, and still dont have many things unlocked. It takes the fun out of the game after awhile. A game like this should be rewarding players for doing good, not dangling the rewards on a hook. Idk. I think this game can be so much better if they just reward players with more stuff.

And I'm not saying make it free. Have players play the game and get rewarded with crafting materials after each match. That's not giving it away free. That's players playing the game to grind for it in a fun way. Anything that costs the players time out of thier day by just playing the game, isn't free. They are taking the time to play the game. And a lot of game studios have lost sight of that fact.

They could just play another game and leave Apex alone. But they decided to play Apex. So players should be rewarded more for thier time.

@apostolateofDOOMI don't disagree that there needs to be more for players who have achieved level 500 and completed the BP. But what this player is suggesting is more free content for new players or getting it at a faster rate.

If they increases the rate at which players complete levels to 500 you'll have a ton players who are in "I have nothing to work towards" group.

Right now the majority of the purchases I make in game are done just to support the game. I have a ton of legendary items/skins for just about everything.

If they give too much content away for free, they won't make any money. The higher skill players will complete tasks rapidly and accomplish all of the "work towards this" stuff quickly. They have to try and balance it so that things are easy enough that average players can complete things.

That's where rank comes into play, grind that to try and get dive trails and bragging rights.

@DarthValtrex I disagree with him on that as there is enough free content and if you increase the rate you acquire loot boxes it will promote smurfing even more which is already a major problem.

They shouldn't increase but just remove the cap altogether although i don't think that's much incentive for someone already at 500 as they'll likely have most skins they want and only after an heirloom which i highly doubt they'll make earnable through playing.

They should do something to entice us to stay though but getting a different type of red trail isn't enough ''end game'' content for me personally.

@apostolateofDOOM I think if they add an area where we can burn up legend tokens it would solve that issue.

Imagine a mode in which you buy in with legend tokens with the winners getting some kind of reward. That right there would solve 2 issues with one addition. It will give people a way to use the endless legend tokens they have and give them a reason to earn them from normal game play modes.

I agree more incentive is needed to get people to play all season long.
