Cross progression answers please
I've been hearing about cross progression not merging accounts but instead picking between either account whether it's console or PC and going from there. If this is true what is the point of cross progression? How is this any different from me just turning off my PC and turning on my console? If this is true as a player I find this to be a giant middle finger as I have a large portion of my progress on console and switched almost 7 months ago and made considerable progress on PC. This includes many cosmetics. So could somebody please let me know what the point of cross progression is if all I have to do to mimic this update is to simply turn on my console.
To add to this, I think the amount of times I've been duped by Respawn/EA and their obvious unquenchable thirst for money, if what I hear is true and this does roll out with no merge but only an option to pick between two accounts I'm definitely uninstalling this game. I've dumped quite a bit of money into this game and I love it but the back handed middle finger this news brings after hints and whispers of cross progression coming is the final straw for me. I hope somebody has an answer to prove me wrong.
- @ematt84 Cross progression means you can play with your console account on PC. You will have not be switching between them as you do now. So from the day cross progression is a thing you won't lose progress playing on either one.
Merging was never promised. It sounds like they tried a lot of ways to do a merge but all had issues. What happens to dupe items? What about someone that reaches level 500 on 2 accounts? They shouldn't get to count all the packs towards an heirloom.
