@Vdstrk Yep, people quit to avoid deaths affecting their KD. If they would just make a quit equally a death it would help.

Yep. And, people also quit because the difference in playstyle is Humongous.
Super passive players mixed with super aggressive players split the team. One type will never trust the other to "save the day".- @Vdstrk That is true too but how do you fix that? That to me is up to the players to compromise.

there is not fixing it, other than applying a penalty. Penalty which in pubs is waaaay unwarranted.
I would just make a quit equate a death at most, and that in ranked.
Do we really need stats at all in pubs? Maybe so for MM, then again we run into other reasons why people quit. Nothing to do with stats, like "i dislike camping, so I'm gonna go look for another match where actually people fight" or the other way around.
For ranked to be something serious it would need to be played with a pre-made team, so you know you can trust your mates and their playstyle.
This somehow makes me thing of ALGS and pre-mades, and how boring to watch it is. it seems to me that campers won the game as it has become the predominant playstyle of competitive apex.
That is just my opinion.
