Didn't receive apex coins after using code

I had gotten a $60 apex coin card as a birthday gift. I tried to use it on apex, it didn't work so I went over here to redeem the code https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/redemption/index and it worked......

    @peqchii,

    I think I know the issue then: If you play on Steam but redeemed the code via EA, you'll need to start the game up via the EA app in order to get your Apex coins. It's a weird quirk where progress is carried over between the two, but they're still separate platforms, if that makes sense.

    Try launching Apex via the EA app, and let me know if your coins show up. 🙂

I do but it didnt allow me to enter in the code in apex, it gave this message, I tried to look on steam and found no place to put the code
