Getting to diamond now is far harder than it was back then. Most people with OG pred trails are dogwater.
@ImABetaCuck This isn't true at all. Theyve made it easier to earn points now. It used to be diamonds and above were only a couple percent. Now it's like 6%.

I found a table that lays it all out for ranked.
It's easy now to see that there was a diamond/pred ban wave after s3, with numbers creeping up since towards 6%. Cue another ban wave the other day of ranked abusers by Conor
The reason given for temp dive trails: "there would eventually be too many trails and they would lose their meaning."

Yeah man I think that’s a super lame reason for removing trails. Whether people have the trails or not, I’m still dropping in a lobby with players of similar skill. I don’t have a pred trail but I essentially play them all the time, so the SBMM clearly thinks I’m that ELO.
I have my original Diamond trail; that’s worth the same to me as the more recent Master trails— I feel bad for people that lose their contrails.
- @OldTreeCreeper I remember the season before they upped the kp from 5 to 6 and increased the amount of players that could get pred and them comparing it to the season they changed it and it showed a huge increase. Masters went from like 5000 to 20000 people.
