Do not remove BHOP Heal
Yes, another Thread. I can't believe all these normies try to kill a game again. Next thing to nerf is scope time and then Gibralter needs a level 4 shield from the start right? BHOP Healing is a me...

Then why bring it up like it's some nail in the coffin point?
I believe @RichAC was saying that a gameplay mechanic isn't necessarily an exploit because it is macro.
He proved his point by saying that "anything can be macro".
Or in other words that bunny-hopping is an exploit - whether it is macro or not macro.
Hey all, when posting please remember to be respectful and kind.
If you cannot post without insulting another user then we would ask that you not post.
From here on out any posts attacking another user will be actioned.

Okay.
Whether or not you macro, whether or not you consider it an "exploit" it's a fun mechanic that adds to the overall experience and playability of the game. It widens the skill gap, raises the ceiling and most of all it's FUN. Much more fun than being glued to the ground or sliding like 5 feet to get a cell off. Removing this removes a key form of outplay potential. There is far more skill involved in bhopping around a corner or to dodge gunfire while getting a heal off than cowering in a house blocking a door. Every other BR plays the latter way. How about something new!? How about something FUN!?!?
I'd really hate to see this game become yet another generic BR/generic game in general but it seems like that might happen. Who knows how many more players are going to leave because of stuff like this getting removed...Especially since the Battlefield BR and Halo are coming up.

Well whats fun is diff for everybody. Many cheaters consider cheating fun but that doesn't make it right.
IMO, its up to the devs if they consider it undermining the heal mechanics they implemented, and if so a real professional player would accept it and adapt and should be quiet about it. Especially shouldn't belittle lower skilled players or the company themselves.
Also removing it is not going to lower the skill gap by much. That is ridiculous to imply. There are so many things about this game that have a huge skill gap. Wingman for one. Even movement without heal hopping. You ever watch these pro players play? Their aim is unbelievable, the way they move around without heal hopping is phenomenal. And we can't equate heal hopping in apex to a game like quake or overwatch where strafe jumping is a constant thing at all times, where itdoesn't undermine intended nerfs already in place. And lets not forget even counterstrike nerfed their bhopping.
The the fast paced movement and ttk in this game is extremely different then other BR's. Its why I've play it and never played fortnite or pubg.
Plus, there comes a point when the skill gap is so wide that new players will stop playing a game and the matches become less competitive with only a few dominating. Maybe the people at the top and those who aspire to be there don't consider that so. But it doesn't make for a popular sport imo.
Again the usual fix for all problems game related to fair play is skill matching and penalizing poor sportsmanship like quitting. Skill matching players stops problem of cheaters and pros pwning noobs, stops problem of people having to play with noobs. But many of the same people advocating strongly for keeping heal hopping, could care less about matching against players of their own skill level ironically. I mean its the whole reason they demand a wide skill gap, to show it off. Now they want kill races against noob lobbies for tourney placements. I have no respect this type of supposedly "pro" community or high level players who have this mentality. Its not sporting and Its not even the way to keep your skills sharp. Athletes in real life would never act like this towards players of the game or the organization of the game they want to play. This is why e-sports struggles to be respected by general society. Not to mention how childish and immature alot of these players attitudes are.

How about double peacekeeper exploit? Infinite flying? Landing animation cancel. Weapon switch animation cancel? Should those not be fixed either because they take skill? Its literally the same.
Pretty sure double pump was fixed on S1 patch.
