Respawn need to dump this legend, since they buffed his stim/regen he is just completely abused by all the toxic useless selfish non team playing people everywhere.Respawn claim that apex is about team play yet they buff a legend that plays exactly the opposite.And before the adhd, adderol addled kids jump to his defense do you;Stim around the map demading your squad keep up, then run into a team, then die, then blame them?Stim around the map, run into a squad, get your team pinned, then instead of dropping a jump pad, stim out and leave them to die?Pick this legend, play solo, die and at least stop ruining the game for your squad?Stim absolutely EVERYWHERE apart from to collect your team mates banners even if its safe after you got them killed?These are just my pet peeves but servers are infested with them and i just get a sinking feeling every game when one is invariably in your squad.They are literally ruining every single game atm and i have yet to squad with one that actually plays WITH his squad.

Octane is great for team play, better than he’s ever been thanks to his jump pad buff which benefits the whole team.In fact the Octane/ Revenant- jump pad/ totem combo has been one of the strongest strategies this season with very little downsides to it, probably one of the reasons he’s getting a nerf next season He’s just a really popular legend right now so you’re more likely to see the selfish players pick him as he’s being played all the time by a lot of people, and can you blame them? On top of being a strong pick he’s also really fun to play, arguably the most fun legend in the game so it makes sense everyone wants to play him I don’t know what games you’re getting in to where every single Octane is a solo player who does his own thing, suppose you’re just unlucky but a lot of the games I play they’re team players who try and stick with the team (even if a lot of them are loot goblins haha) they’ll just usually end up getting to the fight a little bit earlier because of their speedIf you really hate Octane players that much then just start playing him yourself and show your team how he’s meant to be played. What are the benefits of Rampart in ranked? Every time i have a Rampart in my team either they're trash or they are not capable of using her (small) strengths. What about Gibby? 80% of Gibby players don't know how to throw a bubble properly. I could keep going with others as well. It's not the legends itself the fault, it's the players mentality, I mained Octane in S8 and i used him in ranked as well, but i always stick with my team and try to play as a team, even if i end up with trash teammates.The overall level of Apex players is low, and i'm not talking about skill, but team play and game mechanics. Add the fact that Respawn does nothing to incentivize team play by introducing some rewards for doing that or some penalties for solo toxic players and you get the state of Apex.

I do play ranked with randoms, in fact I almost exclusively play ranked solo, as in not with any friends. I managed to solo queue my way to diamond this season and it was frustrating to say the least but not just because of selfish Octane mains.There was selfish Wraith mains, Path mains, Gibby mains, Horizon mains ect my point is you’re going to find selfish players who drop solo, abandon games, don’t pick up banners, run away from fights no matter what rank you’re in and no matter what legend they’re playing.You can’t blame the legend for the actions of the players and wanting them removed/ nerfed into oblivion just because of a few bad eggs who give the rest of us a bad name isn’t the way to go.Like I said Octane is a really popular character right now so you’re more likely to see the selfish players play him for the simple fact that he’s one of the most played legends. @JonasDumac I can see you and the OP getting matched up. He assume oh crap another octane so he decides he will play for himself. You enter the match for yourself. Then you both go opposite directions in game blaming each other. 🤣

@Bean2kay9 If you play random ranked then trust me octanes offer NONE of the benifits youve just suggested.
The problem is that hes" fun to play" when your a base plat 4 scrub that doesnt care about rp loss or even trying to break diamond, i know end of season is bad as all the garbage has piled up at the bottom of plat but this season has been the worse by far

@dougieee I hate to break it to you, but they're not going to delete a legend because the majority of his fanbase are toxic or non team oriented. They may tweak him or nerf him, but he's not going anywhere. So you're either going to have to find people to play with in Ranked to avoid getting players like that or learn to deal with it. We all get toxic selfish players in game but we're not calling for a legend to be erased from existence.

@dougieee Nothing to do with a specific legend, people with that kind of playstyle always do that. Wraith uses to be the top pick, but now Octane has a 25% pick rate so you will see a lot of solo pushing Octane. Call it the curse of the top pick if you will.

You are exaggerating that every single game you have a Octane like that on your team.

As someone who has Solo-queued to Diamond with Octane in first split, he is a very strong legend rn and very much viable in ranked. Also fun to play.

@BaldWraithSimp I totally agree, selfish players gravitate to the main that offers them the most benifits for that type of play.
And im not exaggerating, i played about 30 games yesterday, the five we won we had NO octane and played cohesively, virtually every other game had a trash octane, now you might not play that way BUT you are the exception to the rule.
My fav yesterday was octane hearing gunfire at mid phase runner, stimmed over and died in 3 seconds, i mained blood, crept over to try and recover and broke a personal scan record of TEN ENEMIES DETECTED...... TEN! Both sides of the phase runner and all 3 buidings.
They are like brainless rabid dogs that just charge at the sound of guns.
They need to dump demotion protection so they at least care if they die or not!
