EA anti cheat and MSI after burner + rivatuner statistics server

I have been using MSI afterburner and rivatuner statistics server for monitoring and capping my FPS, to get a steady FPS and low frame time in my games. But now the overlay do not work any more because of the Anti Cheat software. I am just wondering if EA is aware and if they are planing a fix for this. We can not monitor our hardware in game, and it is very frustrating.

I am all for hunting hackers and cheaters, but it should not stop us from using legit software.

  • If you have decent hardware, you don't need to CAP the FPS, it doesn't help anything.

If you have a low end pc potato, as well as wanting to reduce power consumption, that's another story.

What's your CPU, GPU, Ram size and Monitor?

  • I'm using EA anti-cheat + MSI After burner + Rivatuner EVERYDAY on Apex Legends.

    No issues at all.

  • Overlays and such aren't really officially supported from what I know, so they don't really make any fixes for games that have functions that could mess with these types of things.

The issues with these overlays aren't always related with the game itself, it's pretty much the responsibility for the one that made the overlay to make it so it functions properly.

Best bet would be to hit up some support from the communities of these overlays and see if anyone else has experienced this and if they've found a fix for it.
