We will see a slight uptick on the infamous Steamcharts this week, the players want to see for themselves if anything has changed only to realize nothing has been done and then those numbers will drop down to 50K peak players at the end of the season.

@BallisticMVPanother option would be to let the player decide which team to join (incl the latest stats/MMR) by swiping through a selection of "free agents" , then the burden of playing against a triple stack isnt that hard anymore.
The biggest problem about the Matchmaking is the big secrecy about the MMR ... , and the so called "other variables" they dont wanna disclose to the public.
The MM Blogpost doesnt make any sense when the Matchmaking puts you together with players that cant even do 100dmg for docents of games in a row, while the lobby is filled with diamond+ players.
Thats a downward spiral i predicted years ago, seasoned players will just quit the queue if they see "low level players" and the low level players end up in unfilled teams for games to go ... guess who will be fed up in the end and quit the game ... both parties ... great work Respawn ... clearly not foreseeable !
Besides that, it really proves the long lasting accusations that Respawns Matchmaking is rigged in favor of a few players.
I imagine many casual players like me are thinking the same.
All the changes don't really matter until the cheating is fixed.
It's hard to say if SBMM is part of it now with the rampant cheating. Say you have a few rounds where you're against much higher skill players and get your butt handed to you. So Apex decides to give you an easy round, except that easy round is loaded with fresh accounts with players cheating using wall hacks and aimbots - so you're getting your butt handed to you on what's supposed to be your easy rounds.
