Emergency Meeting S8 : Where is MY anniversary gift ?

@asukojo10 regular packs and 2 event packs sound good. I hope they don't change those rewards to some useless skins or badges like we got in the other takeovers. They should give those packs for every takeover/collection event.

@asukojo I dunno, I see people praising Respawn for the 2 event packs and the 10 normal ones but like. Is that really, really, honest to God where we're starting? Praising them for free packs, 2 of which pertain to the anniversary event, and 10 of which that will most likely give nothing at all? 

Like if I ran a near billion dollar franchise, and we're coming up on the 2 year anniversary after players have patiently waited for us to fix game breaking issues (but we haven't), and we say we want to improve the relationship between us and the community (but we haven't done anything outside of one AMA), AND also while we keep touting that we're not out to milk our player-base for money (despite the overwhelming evidence that points otherwise), AND the fact that they're 18 dollar recolors, I'd've been like: 

"Hey boys! We really gotta slather it on heavy if we wanna profit on our player-base over the next few years. Let's give 'em 12 event packs, AND 1000 Apex Coins, AND 4800 crafting metals. What better way to show "we care" than giving out a ton of free crap, but continuing to do the bare minimum for the rest of the game! Bribing people never fails!"

Plus like, Crafting Metals and Apex Coins have literally 0 value, they're not rooted in a physical medium, they're just arbitrarily priced. You don't lose money by giving them out freely. Especially when it's such a meager amount compared to how many 2400 / 1200 CM skins there are in game, not to mention the legendary holosprays and crap.

Jokes aside, a lot of this falls into politics, and we already have a graveyard of posts on the BLM badge subject. I like Asujoko's absolutely accurate dev conversations, and we don't need another thread derailing.

@EA_David Gah! I've been had! Yeah I'll just pre-emptively edit it then. I was looking for the "don't be political" rule but I couldn't find it, where's that at? Is it like a stickied post somewhere or just something that y'all've collectively agreed on?
