Its to make the game more accessible to the casual player base. Like it or not they are the majority and can make or break a game with their participation
Ontop of that I believe the in game reasoning is that the characters we a playing in this game are not pilots.
Only pilots in this game world can do those acrobatic skills due to their specialized jumprig.
Basically its Respawn trying to hammer it in that this is not Titanfall (that comes later this year)
