For me game still feels great if I look at it as a game - legends, mechanics (especially after super-glide was "fixed" which I suggested as per this season like 10 seasons ago), goal of the game etc.
The problem with gaming experience increase because of the community. Look at this #1 Pred (video on Zeus YT) - dude flexes playing with hackers, thinks it is normal, threatens in X Zeus for banning him...AND many people actually stand up to defend the little upset boy there.
Apex community has grown into this weird thing where everyone wants to be #1 Pred by all means and basically what was D4 hardstuck insult now almost has morphed into "oh you can't reach Pred" insult.
Also out of boredom I decided to update my knowledge on how many noteworthy streamers are there right now in Apex -> looked up in google -> found a new name I did not see before (starting with E, not to name and shame ppl) -> checked his recent Twitch stream....guess what:
- playing with aimbot and walls, found like 2 instances in first 3 min of me watching / rewinding his gameplay where he shoots people through walls and rocks :)
- playing with what seemed to be aimbot using boosters = as soon as he stupidly died, they almost always clutched 2v3 like that's a norm
- dude talks about titan and other cheats as a joke, trying to downplay the issue
And that's a top 20 current Apex legends streamer...showing to me clearly that what was fanboy/girl army that supported Hal back in the days where he made community use phrases like "s@#%$ on kids" and did basically the same as every pro/streamer now is still there just diluted to other copies of the same crap.
If I would classify current streamers and their content I could come up with the list:
- Hal - people just watch him because that's what they have done for ages / to tell their friends that they watched his stream even though added value was basically never there
- Clowns - many of streamers just clown around (cream, shout, come up with useless challenges, focus more off topic than on the game)
- TOPX / challange makers - ones that only stream some sort of ranking videos be it legends or weapons or your "bronze to Pred" runners
- Blunt hackers that add 0 value like even less than Hal
There is NO content that actually adds value, explains the game, mechanics, tactics, thought process. Why? Because you can't explain wallhacks and aimbots nor there is a demand for such content where you need to "think", use your brain.
It is just sad to see that community for some reason(s) thinks it is ok to cheat even if the ultimate goal is not money and fame and continue doing so just to make legit player lives miserable. But it is true on other games e.g. was playing Valorant last night, after like 3 am had 2 games in a row in <Silver (basically nothing worthy in Valorant) lobbies where two blunt aimbotters were farming and boosting "their friends". And I called them out, asked why they do it in Silver lobbies...all I heard were some fragile egos and defensive "kids" in grown up bodies. Yet they clearly thought it was fun.
