Heavy weapons in the past only slowed you down a lot, and I personally saw it this way too by experience, that getting hit with an R99, R301, vs a Flatline was clearly not the same, as well as when you also shoot someone with these 3 guns, how you can visibly see the difference.
I'm also talking about slowing down Half Speed, and sometimes barely moving.
I'm not talking about how it's always been, something has clearly changed in Season 12, or I am running into some sort of bug.
@xpl0itsI feel the same sometimes when the connection is weird. And as cheese said, all bullets slow you the same. Heavy have never slowed you more.

My experience is similar.
When I shoot someone (Flatline, 301) I can put a half of clip into running enemy and they wont' slow down a bit. like not at all.
I have been in numerous fights where I shot someone with Flatline and they just jump all over and slide-jump immediately without losing any momentum.
No shooting seems to slow down some players.
When I am being hit by a Flatline it is like almost instant decrease in momentum.
So the main question here is how the same game can feel/behave differently for different players?

Well then there's a bug in this game in regards to Light vs Heavy, because I have always visibly seen someone I am shooting at with a Flatline move slower, than if I shot them with an R301, I actually see them slow down and stutter more.
I'm also not talking about Rubber Band lagging. When I'm getting hit now, I'm really slowing down a lot more, to the point it's hard to move and get out of the way.
I agree that this could be a combination of the network lagging at the time, the network/servers on this game have always been bad.

@PsyhiX69 @xpl0its @dSKyNafinchin I'm sorry for the late reply. The heavy bullets feel like they have a more "slowing" effect becuase a lot of the heavy weapons have huge magazine and a slower fire rate compared to their light and energy counterparts. The slowing effect only applies once every 3 seconds and the reason why you dont see such effect when spraying someone with a burst weapon like the R99 compared to the Rampage/Spitfire/Flatline with huge magazines that can last around more than 3 seconds especially with purple magazines. Hope I made sense. What the OP is experiencing though might be a mix of both server issues and the slowing down effect of the bullets. You can also feel the "slow effect" a lot when you're being shot down by the R301 and Hemlok in single fire mode and G7 scout.

It just gets confusing for me sometimes, when I am getting shot (by any gun) and am slowed down for what seems like way more than .25s every 3s, but when I am shooting people (with any gun), they don't seem to suffer from the slowdown, at least not visually. I'm guessing it's just a mixture of all the other variables though, like my own travel speed & direction, compared to the person I'm shooting and whatnot. Thanks again for the info!
