The advantage is having some time to get even a gun before getting attacked. Where to as in drop ship I have teammates who are jump master drop into fire get us killed with no chance of survival and demolish my RP.
Honestly, I can see a lot of ways out of the "bad jump master" problem. Fixed drops is only one of them, but it's the one that requires zero effort on the part of the player and I myself am no stranger to the line of least resistance. So in this particular instance it isn't the path forward that I would choose, but I certainly understand why people like it.
So it looks to me now like it's being used as an incentive to either stack or at least grind your way to... diamond is it? Is that a compromise that seems attainable, or is that too far out of reach or not worth the trouble to try and get to?
