Feels like this game is finally dying

Several reasons why (for me) Apex is dying:

- The lack of any communication between the community and Respawn

- Really bad nerf/buff-decisions (legends/weapons are either op or useless)

- No improvements over all those years regarding the server-quality

- The Akimbos (which are just not meant as regular floor-drop as they are way too op)

- The horrible matchmaking

- The no-fill problem that still persists

- I´m still convinced that they implemented bots into the game without telling us

Most of all it´s the missing communication: What happens to all our suggestions for improvement, criticism, reports or positive feedback?

What about our technical problems or questions?
Where are the answers from Respawn Entertainment?

Man you wish. Deadlock which was/is invite only based already has a cheater problem. 
Its always offer and demand. That day Apex dies the cheaters & cheat manufacturers also move to a new more popular game. 
For Apex 2.0 I would give it 2 weeks max if the hype is there. In fact I would actually be more interested in playing Apex 1.0 if 2.0 would be released due to above.

@BallisticMVP Isnt the games dying something that happens to most games eventually? Nothing surprising there IMO. 

There are few exceptions though. CS2 is becoming more and more popular. Started slowly in 2012 but peaks over 1 million daily concurrent players on steam charts. 
CS2 is THE serious competitive shooter. Gitgud. 

Fortnite is THE fun shooter. Peaks over 2 million daily concurrent players. 

Both of the above have been in the market for years but unlike Apex they found their sweetspot & role in the market. 
Apex currently has daily low averages (slow hours) that are similar PUBG but on the peaks PUBG takes over. 
Market for FPS games is highly competitive and finding the right approach can be very difficult as we have seen with multiple "Apex killers" getting forgotten (The Finals to name one). 

Sweatiness of Apex doesnt make it fun for casuals.
Cheaters & failures/EOMM rigging feeling/mistakes/exploiting in the matchmaking doesnt really make it serious competitive shooter either for casuals.
Player numbers come from the casuals. They are the ones buying the cosmetics and keeping the game alive.

Game is highly addicting and has so many good things that lure people like me back again and again so it will certainly have a solid fanbase in the future as well. 
 
EDIT: How I would change things? 

Would it be sensible to test out fixed MM time rather than the quickest possible option. Every queue time would exactly 3 minutes. Not 30s or 10 minutes. 
This would have the player pool bigger and the MM would be easier. I dont think 3 minutes is too long to wait if you know its coming and it would make MM better. 

Another thing would be MM survey for soloQ players. What kind of game you want to play in like 3 simple questions so that 3 minute wait is not going become queue simulator after that random Octane & Wraith duo late lands you on 6 teams game after game. 

@HappyHourSumwurRanked must have a population problem right now. I'm seeing players ranging from Silver to Diamond in the same lobby. That is not healthy for player retention in a ranked environment.

I smurf a bit, it's a free to play game, and it's the only thing that keeps me playing. I don't think solo queuing smurfs are the issue, it's the sweaty 3-stacks that usually end up in Diamond or higher is the real issue when we're talking about smurfing to be clear. My point is that I see what it's like to climb through different parts of the season. Plus, after a certain hour, it takes forever to find a game, and when I do, it's infested with cheaters with horrible networking. I see an enemy, that means my shield is already broken before I can react. If they added a solo queue ranked, I think that could possibly solve that issue.

I've been noticing that my teammates are getting quite tilted as well. They're complaining about their prior match, and then not performing in the current match because they're making weird adjustments.

Steam charts have been weird lately as well. The player counts seem to fluctuate more than usual. Even with higher player counts, in game, it feels like the MM is still all over the place. There SHOULD be enough players to fill a lobby with all Silver, Gold, or Plat. So maybe it's dying in my region, I'm in the midwest of the US.

@WhoopFighterAll of those things fell like the beginning of the end to me. I personally think that all game modes are suffering from lower player counts. That's always fluctuated with time of day as well as time in Season, but now when it's low it is too low for MM and you get even more wild lobbied thrown together when thr MM timer hits zero.

None of thisnia good and all tie back to Respawn's neglect. They are unwilling &/or unable to fix the core issues of matchmaking, cheaters, smurfs, server performance, and audio, instead cranking out increasingly irritating collection events.

PS - Fun little tidbit . . . just went 5 games in a row with my teammates getting immediately deleted.  Honestly, within seconds of landing they were dead.  4 out of 5 of those games I barely had a chance to get a single gun and barely got off shots.  Not like we were late to the party either, we dropped at just about the same time as the other team(s) at our POI.  Multiple teammates with 0/0/0, 0 damage games and I just had a Valk with 0/0/0 and 1 damage.  This is why Apex is dying . . . that is absolutely infuriating.
