First impression: Ok, G7 is OP
Played two matches, won 2 times with G7.
I love this gun ALOT, but i think it's abit OP. :/ What do you guys think?
Charged Rifle is quite good, better than Tripletake but it requires abit of skill.

I like having a new map.
- @d3adc3II It isn't OP, the double shot is more situational and highly effective in close proximity. Makes the G7 Scout feel more like a DMR than a sniper. Most people will still probably take an R301 or a Longbow over it any day.
- @Subtle_Tactics Agreed it is definitely in no way OP, I actually find other guns to beat the G7 everytine
The double tap is incredibly bad though XD.
Although I did expect as much, similar case to hemlok - single fire is simply a lot better.
Scout was one of my favorite long range guns before, so I'll gladly take the 2 damage. Wouldn't say it's OP though - it's still the highest skill cap sniper.
Charged rifle feel extremely powerful though, especially at very long ranges.
Before season 3, I already really liked the G7 because it can be used as a sniper and is good up close.
With the double-shot hop-up this thing is really good. I love it! It is very good up close and have already won a match with it.
I think we'll have to wait a few days to see how the meta is shifted before calling anything OP, but yea it's definitely strong!
- @d3adc3II I wandered why I was downing people so fast with the G7, I totally missed it in the patch notes that it got a damage buff.
Alternator is now useless again and I dont know why they nerfed the recoil on the Prowler.
I like season 3 so far, nice map and for me the connections have been better so far, I guess this is down to a larger player base. @Subtle_TacticsG7 and Longbow are DMR in the first place actually. :D
I'm glad people dont think G7 is OP, unlike the Longbow.
I personally find it is the most OP gun in the meta right now. And It's a good thing. Used to main Longbow every game, but now I have found my new favorite gun.
The title can be misleading but im not complaining. Love the weapon, the dps is really amazing.- @d3adc3II Let's keep it to ourselves lol.
I think the G7 works well now as a mid to close-mid weapon. It certainly melts.
On a side note I picked up the hammer point round hop up and tried the P2020 for the first time. Pretty gun fun and so spamable, break shield and spam with the P2020. The problem with p2020 is that you really can't afford to not have a long range weapon on the new map, so the only way to have a p2020 is to find that ultra-rare yellow hopup for flatline or 301.
As for snipers, the charged rifle is way more powerful than longbow ever was, especially on this map, where shooting 200+ m is common (hitscan owns).
G7 is as great as it has ever been, but it's definitely not the best choice for this map, so to rank snipers, i'd say it's like this now:
kraber>charged rifle >> longbow > G7 > TT
The yellow hopup 301/flatline should also go in there somewhere, but I have only had that once so far.
- @Biochemikas The G7 is better than it was because it had a damage buff.
