Incredibly slow and incredibly poor since patch.
Seemed strong but balanced before it.
Now it seems you can catch someone with their back turned, pump 7 shots in them, break their shields, and still get killed first.
Even mozambique or p2020 seem more viable weapons than it now.
What weapon can viably take it's place for a G7 user??
...mainly sad because used to be one of my least favourite weapons before becoming my go-to. Now seems useless and redundant.
Yeah, they nerfed it to the ground it's not even a sniper anymore.. who comes up with that *, this gun people have been using as a sniper since the beginning is suddenly not a sniper anymore, some clowns at Respawn man.
The rate of fire is worse as you will quickly realize when trying to blindfire down a corridor at a squad of people chasing you with R99'S
I don't know why they do this type of * where they buff something too much then just massively nerf it... and then you look at changes to other weapons like the R99 and it's -1 damage, maybe next season they'll take another -1 damage off of it. Maybe in 3 seasons we'll get to the point where it's balanced.
G7 or Hemlock SINGLE fire are my go to long range. R99 or prowler full auto. G7 is still good, but you cannot spam it, need to hit your headshots and it still melts.
If you want to spam, hemlock single fire is great again.
Its still good, just more reliant on the DT hop up, which im ok with. Im also loving the fact its an AR now and i can swap it out and not need a whole sniper attachment set up...
G7 is still good, but for me i feel the hemlok is better this season. Picked the hemlok up last night and cranked out just shy of 2k damage with it, and that was whilst being plagued with hit reg issues and stuttering gameplay.
I think the changes to the G7 are quite healthy, it's not a go-to gun anymore, but still very powerful in the right hands.
So for the last months i read complaints about the g7 being too op and now that they nerfed it( not that much, it's still a solid gun), people are complaining again. That's pretty funny lol
