@Miss_Apex_B4_s20 thats just the steam numbers (Wont show any console player besides ppl using the SteamDeck, nor ppl playing via the EA Client (ex. Origin)). Those Steam numbers can be seen as a tool to measure a certain "trend". If the Steam numbers are cut in half only for this year, its highly likely that also the EA Apex Accounts took a big dive.

It is logical that if there are huge drops on one platform, it is no better on others.

@Miss_Apex_B4_s20 Steam charts is a good tool in my opinion. Of course it doesn't give us the full picture, but it's what we have access to.
