Game not auto choosing nearest server on xbox
I get this a lot. Normally it would be a bit more of a difference in pin or pl than tonight's video. Don't know why game dosnt choose nearest server. Anyone else get this? Edit: changed titl...

@OldTreeCreeper The server you pick on that screen isnt the one you connect to each match anyway.
@hayhor Doubt it. I have the same ping for every game I play in a session of 5 hours and is also the same in each session. I had instances where I would get crazy ping spikes, but my random teammates confirmed that I was always on the server selected initially.
- @ILostT0Loba Nahhh it’s true, but mostly for Asian or American regions it seems. They get bounced at times that is not the home screen data centre. Europeans don’t get this too often as I’ve rarely seen that in comments.
Americans even show proof that they were for instance on Dallas server but in game with random spikes see that afterwards in lobby they’re on another server.- @Koochi-Q Never seen it on Singapore servers. As in never ever, might be a console thing
- @ILostT0Loba I’ve heard it before from someone else playing on Singaporean server. Mostly when it takes too long to find matchmaking for ranked. Dunno if it was @BaldWraithSimp or someone else tho
- @ILostT0Loba My ping goes from 24 one game to 65 or even 80 the next. That is because I suddenly get placed on a server across the country.
@hayhormight be a console thing then or Maybe I am lucky lol, my ping on PC is same throughout my 5 hours play session. And is also same each day I play. 130-140 ms always, doesn't matter the day or week except some ping spikes in the middle of a game.
One more thing, Bahrain is lowest ping for me, but I always lock Singapore GCE 2 and it stays that way.
@OldTreeCreeper If I hit Esc, the name of the server is always the same at the bottom. If you select any individual server it will have '*' on the top or the game gives you something else. You didn't select server, so it changed from London to Belgium(idk why). But after you clicked on desired server, it stayed that way.
- @ILostT0Loba You have pretty high ping period. My guess is that server isnt that loaded or there are no options near you that are close. Here I have lots, which is why it changes a ton.
