I think the friend request must be done in the game, to add it to your EA account too.
Try launching Apex in the EA App and check your friends list in this App.

I hope many people miss this challenge and that they give us another chance to obtain this Recolor.

I don't have access to my Ea account linked to my Xbox account and I cant get the flatline skin because I can't gift is there any work around for it?
