@Vdstrk I really hope they listen to my commentary on it. I've spend the last year working on that account, getting things and characters I enjoy playing. And trying to get better, so when I play with my son I actual help him, vs. hurt him in the games. Including during the 2nd anniversary event spending money so I could get Heirloom materials, so I can use them when a character I want to have heirloom on, gets it.
HW Id seems like a bad way to do things BTW. That would mean if I switch components in my PC, or swap to a different PC it would work right? If I was writing the system I'd use the Unique User ID that they generate for everyone as the banning item.
Although I guess since people just make new accounts when a cheater, the HWId lets them track down to that same HW and limit them.
So I guess I could see that as being a reason to do it that way as well.
Man I hate cheaters. If somehow this comes down to a cheater getting my account banned like this I'm going to be even more annoyed then I sound right now.
