Heirloom % chances higher

would it be fun for a heirloom buff because you have to open 500 packs for a heirloom but wouldn't it be more fun if it would be like 200 packs because alot of people wouldn't have time to get 500 pack like sold theirs xbox, ps5/ps5, pc, switch or really something happening so it would give them more chances

  • Problem right now is market rules combined with the intention of rarity, as long as the market reacts to the current rules and the calculation on lowering this vs income will not create more profit a system will stay as is. The heirloom/mythics is a type of commodity that is ment to be ultra rare, and hence is extremely expensive. However if noone would buy apex pacs to unlock the mythincs the cost would be lowered ofcourse, but currently people are willing and do, and the market projection is probably in such a way that you need to lower it too far down for it to stay rare so it stays higher then a free account normally should be able to aquire without joining in on season passes and so on.

In general to lower to 200 they would have to recalibrate how many packs you get to lvl 500 so youre still in the out, on top of this they have to find how to handle all the people who got it, as most of these ground and payed to get to 500 crates (well some bucky basterds out there ofcourse), should they then get two for free or what. Its actually a quite complex issue when you look at the whole picture 😉 But yes it would be fun to have several mythincs, eve though it would remove the exclusivity of it for my sake who ground for every apex pack I could find in all the ongoing events up to 500 and on top of that get the last apex packs to complete my 500 just because i have to be close now idea in my head.

  • @zyk0sko4pi0 saying opening 500 packs will get you a heirloom is not really true.
i play since S3, i guess i have opened way past the 500, but still no heirloom (im not really keen on having one, so doesnt matter that much). i read once that its 500 packs you paid for ... not the ones you get through the battlepass/challenges/events.

@r1ggedgameIncorrect. You are guaranteed to pull heirloom shards from your 500th Apex pack collected. This included all free packs awarded for increasing account level, increasing Battle Pass level, event reward packs, packs from treasure hunt rewards and whatnot. Purchasing Apex packs only accomplishes increasing the amount of packs you have opened. Also, you have an incredibly minuscule chance of pulling heirloom shards prior to opening 500 packs.

As an example, if someone has been playing Apex since it launched in 2019, and has maxed every Battle Pass, collected all treasure packs and all packs from CE's (essentially collecting every single available free Apex pack from launch until today), they would still come up around 50 packs short of 500. I have been playing since launch, and just now received my first heirloom on the 3-year anniversary, Lmao

Check out the link below, for an (unofficial) Apex pack calculator, which can give you a pretty good idea of how far away you are, if you enter accurate information. Hopefully you'll get yours soon! Best of luck!

@dSKyNafinchinyou sure ? this forum has quite some posts from ppl complaining having opened over 500 and not getting *, even getting accused from the support of pulling pranks on them ...

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Opened-500-Packs-and-Still-no-Heirloom-Shards/td-p/8848056

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/I-have-opened-500-Apex-Packs-and-did-not-get-the-Heirloom/td-p/8764624

And regarding to luck ... i dont even want the stuff, the animations are pretty annoying to me imho. i just wanted to point out that its not sure that you get one at the 500th box.
With my "luck" i end up with the fricken boxing gloves or the balisong, items i would not even see bcs i dont play those chars 😉

Same as always with EA, intransparent to the max ... otherwise they would just have made a pack counter  for the player to see ...

@r1ggedgame Positive. Check out the calculator I linked in my first response. It will give you a good idea of where you're at, as long as you provide accurate information.

No need to worry about getting an heirloom you do not want. They changed that some time ago, and now, you simply receive 150 "heirloom shards", which allow you to choose and purchase your desired heirloom set.

See below response from @EA_Kent regarding a player that was sure they had opened 500 packs already

"Unfortunately that's not really something we can help with here on Answers HQ. You can try reaching out to the EA Help team so they can pull up your account, but in every case I've seen like this there just hasn't been enough packs opened on the account to trigger the heirloom shards. If you keep opening packs you'll get them once you hit 500."

Link to EA Help team, in case you want to reach out to them, and have them pull up your account:

@dSKyNafinchini checked on of those sites after reaching lvl 500 somewhat summer 2020.
As i said im not keen on having one. If i ever should get that stuff (which i dont really believe ... ill bet anyone my lvl has gotten way more gold items than i have ... compared it to my mates), i will rather spend it on that BH skin, looks better to me.

@r1ggedgame If you have spent that much money on Apex packs (500 packs in less than a year is way more than just free packs received), I would reach out to the support team, because they can pull up your account and see the exact numbers. It's coded into the game, so I'd be willing to bet that you are off on your count. There's not really anything that can be done on here, because we just have to take your word about your pack count, and people are usually off, as mentioned by the EA community manager that I quoted. My best advice would be to reach out to support. Definitely hope they can get it sorted out, if you are indeed some sort of a fluke!
