Heirloom Apex Pack Counter

Does buying a Heirloom from an event reset your Apex pack counter? In other words if I buy Caustic's heirloom from the event would it reset the counter to where I would then be at most 500 packs away?

  • I don't even know if a counter is an official thing.  I've heard rumor that it was, then I've also heard a lot of people screaming about getting 500 packs and zero heirlooms.

    I've spend no money on loot ticks and I've got two sets of heirlooms.  So....I would certainly not be purchasing ticks reset or not.  Apex prices are far too high and as far as I understand it, they guarantee you nothing.   Like all loot boxes, not just Apex.  It's gambling.

  • @hesh230 No, it shouldn't reset your Heirloom counter because this Heirloom is not attainable with shards at the moment.

    The way in which Heirlooms work is that you have a 1 in 500 chance of getting the shards in each pack you open, the more packs you open the higher the chance.

    As the Caustic heirloom is currently not attainable with the shards it is therefore exempt from this and is a 'promotional item'. Basically, the event is a 'fast track' to a Heirloom but will cost you a price.

    @KelRiever
    You are guaranteed to get a heirloom inside of 500 packs. I have tested this with two of my friend who I played with at the start and I roughly got mine at 440 packs, my friend got his at 400 and unfortunately my other friend was roughly around 493-497. It makes sense because we bought packs together and was roughly the same level the whole way through. People do struggle to keep track of it. Since getting my last Heirloom I have taken note of the amount of packs that I have opened.

    I believe you and all the other posts of other people saying the same thing. It makes sense and that was my assumption it would just make feel a lot better coming from and EA community manager or someone from EA ya know. 😅
  • Buying the event packs so you can unlock the new heirloom doesn't reset your heirloom counter.
    The counter only resets if you unlock an heirloom by opening 500 Packs or hitting the >1% chance.

    Forget the counter for me ill take the almost nonexistent chance I always seem to get lucky on things like this.
