Hierloom shards Question

I got hierloom shards just now but i dont want any of the available hierlooms and i want to wait for the next one coming in a few months, so my question is am i going to have a chance to get more shards or i cant get more unless i spend the shards i have?

@Elfo_BumBum I have seen people with 300 shards. You stop getting shards after you have acquired every heirloom. Any other circumstance doesn't inhibit you from getting shards.

@maximas1986 wow you must have been playing for long I guess. I was introduced to Apex by an Xbox friend, that was not even 2 months ago. I never bought packs or anything, just earned them by playing and levelling up.

@Elfo_BumBum I have seen people with 300 shards. You stop getting shards after you have acquired every heirloom. Any other circumstance doesn't inhibit you from getting shards.

@BaldWraithSimp Thank you so much.. that 150/150 really threw me off but if what you say its true and there are people with 300 shards then ill just keep my shards and hope the next hierloom is a good one

Level 302, no heirloom in sight. I must be getting close to the 500 packs though.

@Elamami3440 Doesn't matter your level, you are guaranteed to unlock one heirloom every 500 packs you open.

Well looks like the chances to get the shards are ridiculously low and I was one of the lucky ones.
