Am I the only one who is incredibly frustrated by hit registration and only plays this game (my favorite battle royale for years) for roughly an hour a week nowadays?Every time I get the itch to play, I load into a couple of games, I get shot before doors open, my bullets do not touch the enemy player, and I’m dropped in .3 seconds. I play on series X and have no ping or connection issues. I’m no pro, but I’ve made Diamond a few times so I know what I’m doing. Now, I can’t get a kill to save my life in silver lobbies. I’ve recorded the hit reg issues but would respawn even care if I shared them?

@GoSoxAV8 I have the exact same problem, and I chat with Randoms I'm placed with and they always tell me they are having the same problem. You fire at enemies only to have the bullets go straight through enemies without the hits registering.I know it's not my equipment or a skill issue because I have also been playing Fortnite, Strinova, Snowbreak, Farlight 84, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, and Star Wars Hunters and don't have this problem on those games.I hope they fix this problem soon because it's the worst bug this game has had since I've been playing, it started in season 20, but has gotten worse this season and the last season. I know it dropped my kdr way down, like a fraction of what it used to be.

It chooses who wins a fight before it even starts.And don't even get me started on putting whole clip at someone without even breaking their shield.

@GoSoxAV8I have a thing I do now where I "test" a match to see which kind it is, the kind where my bullets do damage or the kind where I can hit someone with little enough effect to know that something's wrong. If I get any sense of it being the latter type then I leave the match. The very next one can be completely normal, debunking any idea that it's a connection issue or hardware issue or anything else I can put my finger on. Some matches work. Some don't. Leave the ones that don't.

@reconzero Unfortunately playing ranked makes it tough to do this. But I do have a lot more success picking out which kind of lobby I’m in when jumping into gun run. I can tell right off the bat from the first engagement what’s going on.

Pathfinder standing still at a death box looting, with back towards me. 3X Scope a Longbow right through the Chest area....no HIT REG lol.Path moves a bit as if to say....what was that lol ? Fire a shot again, thru back between shoulder blades.... again no HIT REG. 35 Ping, no packet loss.Sound familiar to anyone ??

Yes! Okay thank you for confirming this has been an issue since season 20. I vividly remember a time where there was hit reg issues and it got resolved a couple of years ago. But in the last year or so it has gotten really bad again.

im struggling because I used to love this game, evident by the fact ive hung around this long. But they have kinda over saturated the number of maps and modes IMO. I rarely get to play kings canyon anymore, and the hit reg and player movement makes it hard to enjoy any of the game modes anyways.

@GoSoxAV8 It's so random. Some games I'm just destroying, other games I can't hit someone 10 feet in front of me, even though in the prior game I dropped a 4k with the same weapon.

It's the low tick rates servers paired with their weird lag compensation BS. Also, I think it's somehow part of a cheat suite or something. Some players just don't take damage correctly, and it'll be just this one guy dominating the server.

I know I’ve seen other players get annoyed at those who just “come here to complain”. But if we don’t provide feedback here, then where do we?
If i didn’t care about the game, I’d stop playing. But I used to love this game and I want to continue to play it. Sadly my squad, who have played together 2 nights a week for 5 years, finally asked the question this week of “has Apex run its course?”

I also understand that as games age; it’s left with the OGs or cheaters or whatever. That I can live with because at least in a fully operating lobby I can hold my own enough for it to be enjoyable. But the hit reg just ruins it

There are so many good reasons to not play ranked matches in any game, but in THIS game... bullets that hit the target and do no damage are pretty high up on the list. Walk away, my friend. Just walk away. Whatever rank it is that you ultimately get is telling you a lot more about the servers or the cheaters than it is about anything else. Where is the use in that? It's not fun OR accurate, and a ranking system should be at least one of those things.

Yup, it's as if I'm shooting ghosts and the bullets just go right trough the enemy. I'm wired with 30-50 ping and no red icons. Some serious desync maybe.
