Setting your Playstation to English in the settings fixes this, but not quite. When you switch your Playstation to English and restart Apex you can choose accessibility settings in the main menu. Form here you can enable chat, but not without a really annoying catch... Everything you type is being read by an AI voice. Can't figure out how to get of it and just chat normally.
Thanks! It took me 14 seasons to find this post and I got it fixed by changing my Playstation system language to english as you suggested. And then I got Accessibility settings available in Apex. There was few chat settings. Don’t know which of them was the setting that enabled the chat eventually as I turned all settings ON, then chat was working. Then I Turned all settings back to OFF and still chat working. Wondering now if the chat settings has any effect and the problem was the system language?
But it is now working so I am happy and I can spam some randoms with annoying messages.
