My opinion on the bag of bolts I know only to well.
Pathfinder was long overdue an increase to his tactical. The advantages and utility it provided him was second to none (yes, even you Wraith mains! xD).
Do I think the increase was a bit extreme?
Yes, but only marginally and also intentional. 🤔
Prior to the nerf he was already tanking a lot more damage with low profile, the grapple delay that most won't be effected to much by and was circumventable with experience was certainly noticeable in higher lobbies and also the fairly recent changes to the legs compared to previous seasons which, at the time, was justified due to his mobility. Now that has been nerfed to over double the cooldown he must choose whether to grapple in and down a cracked enemy or save it for an escape or reposition so having the options and flexibility he had prior is now gone while still having the 3rd largest hitbox with increased damage.
Simple fixes to make him more balanced would be either,
1. Reduce the cooldown to what Loba currently has 25secs?? (or wait for that to be potentially nerfed also).
2. Keep cooldown roughly as is but remove low profile.
While my opinion might be slightly biased, I also don't heavily rely on path being a crutch for my gameplay as my second main is lifeline who I have been using almost exclusively throughout season 4. Another thing to consider is the fun factor. Having the ability to charge in and slap one, pop a bat then finish the second and grapple out to heal and finish the third has been the custom for some path mains since the beginning and making such a change has now rendered him both unenjoyable and pretty useless in comparison to before and other legends.
