Honeymoon phase

Loving it.

The current gun meta seems to have been expressedly designed for me. Currently rocking a 2.46 KDr which is a massive increase from anything I've ever acheived before. The R301x2, G7x3 combo seems to turn me into a pred.

I've always done well on Olympus and am doing well on Broken Moon too. World's Edge ... less so.

I should get to 10,000 kills with The Grenado Tornado by the end of the season. Fuse is still popular/unpopular enough that I get him most games, but when I don't I am enjoying learning to get the best from Seer and had an 8-kill game with him yesterday.

The only negative ... Fusehound. When I am Fuse and get a child on my team playing BH, it's not embarrassing at all when I offer to kiss them, or slap their butts.

@Cheese9ManI used to spend at least 6 hours a day playing apex, even when I have a full-time job but that didn't stop me.
in seasons 0 to 4 I was literally enjoying, I mean I used to be excited to go home so I can play the game.
after that it all went downhill, I wasn't enjoying the game at all but I was already hooked.
kept paying just because it became my daily habit and there was no other option, I mean a game that is close to what I liked about apex because I am not a single-player games person.
I kept on grinding until this season because I was hoping that one-day things will be better but now I lost hope.
the unfairness, the servers, the matchmaking, and the feeling that some players are favored over others for some reason ( tin foil hat thing).
so now apex is taking 1 or two hours of my time and I stopped paying for anything in the store.
I am just doing what people are saying ( it's a free game, stop complaining), so I will  TRY to enjoy this hour or two for free unless a major change happens that recovers my enthusiasm for the game which I lost a long time ago.

At this point I have barely played this season. About where I was for Season 8. The only one I played less was season 7.

The game feels like work, and I have other single player or online with PvE games respecting my time right now (Cyberpunk 2077, Destiny 2, and been playing Hades again).

I really just want them to add a mode like Frontier Defense to Apex. Something I can work with other players on that's not competitive.

@Cheese9ManMe and my buddies are enjoying it, but we have only played maybe a weeks worth of playtime so far. In the little time we have played though, I'm loving the new map! Hoping to get more playtime over the holiday weekend, but I'll be out of town Friday and Saturday, so we'll see how that goes.

Main guns I've been using, have been the Prowler and Hemlock. When I'm limited on playtime, my accuracy goes out the window with full-auto, so I have to use burst weapons to be able to hit shots. Also, I don't remember the Prowler being that dang good in burst mode, when we still had select fire. Am I just trippin? It feels so much better to me, than it ever used to

Edit: Forgot the Legend. I have only used Catalyst for a match or two so far, as I haven't had any challenges that require use. In those couple matches though, I was having fun. I definitely have to figure out the wall a bit more, but overall, I was enjoying it. We had a random Catalyst in an Arenas warmup, that had to have been a Pred, Lmao! That was one of the most useful randoms I've ever had in BR or Arenas. 

@Cheese9ManOk so since 2004 you've been playing 4 hour sessions of games. I assume in that time your main game has switched many times. How many main games have you had? What game made it the longest as your main game? What do you feel makes you switch main games most often?

I'm lucky as I get forced 1 to 2 week breaks from all gaming every other month. I honestly think it helps me appreciate games more. It is refreshing to come back and game.

@hayhorI had all the nintendo and playstation consoles. Their only use was for single player games. My PC was the multiplayer machine just for one game, DOTA (hence why I bring it up a lot). Had to give up the game since my old PC was struggling so I sold it and never got a gaming rig since. So that’s around 2004-2014 of Dota 1 to dota 2. Then slowly F2P games were becoming a thing on consoles so my friends and I started playing again around 2019.

There’s so much greatness with this game but it’s being held back by major issues. There’s a reason why games like LOL, DOTA and CS:Go are still thriving after all these years.
