How’s the matchmaking recently?
People are reporting that they’re having more balanced matches today. This comes after Sammy Duc said that they’re making MM changes in December. So did you notice any difference today?

- @HappyHourSumwur I was hoping to blame it on nothing but a bad streak of games, but match making is like night and day since yesterday’s update. It’s like they flipped the switch. Running into masters/preds every other game was a typical expectation for me, but now it’s every game, every winning squad, every first encounter, just absolutely rolled in seconds. Feels bad! Lol
- @HappyHourSumwur When the comment by the dev was made it was in direct reply to someone who was playing in a group. I said at the time that if they adjusted it the way I thought (less punishment for being a premade) it would mean hurting the solo queue players.
- @hayhor I think you may be right. Solo queue is horrible and I really haven't heard from anyone playing in a premade. Any 3 stacks out there? How's it feel?
To answer your question: I just uninstalled the game.
This season the game is in the worst state it has ever been. There was no meta change at all at start and the added map is just horrible.
I haven't been able to have fun in this game for the last 3 months. First it was the stuttering thing last season, they fixed for the start of this season. Now the matchamaking IS COMPLETLY BROKEN. There is no match I get matched with people on my skill level. And this night I hit my limit.
It started by getting destroyed in Winter Express trying to kill some Masters stacks (Im an average Gold 3 player). After that I went to play some rankeds (I mean, it is ranked, it's gotta be balanced right?). First match, got beamed by a Masters stack. Second match, we just hid under a rock and try to avoid fights, only to get in the final 3 and got destroyed by a Pred stack. Pred stack on a gold match.
Im done with this game, it is a chore, it no longer gives me any sense of fun. I force myself to play it to complete the BP, but Im done, I have enough coins to buy 4 BP if I feel like it. The game itself is by far the best shooter right now, but this horrible matchmaking makes it impossible to enjoy at all. Every single game playing against players that are way way higher in the skill lader makes absolutly no sense.
So, I uninstalled the game and Im gonna give it a try in a few weeks, if this stills the same, I guess Ill just have to look for another shooter, there's plenty of them out there.
- @R0yMust4ng I agree. Uninstalling the game repairs the problem with matchmaking - it's simply the best patch we can ever get.
Well, made sure to come back to this thread and drop a comment, i’ve had some of the easiest lobbies in a long time today, not sure what is happening, even rank, to my surprise, has been a breeze, currently P1 and most likely going Diamond today if these games keep coming. It’s been a long times since i had this much fun on Apex, i missed it!
I'm watching ALGS. Matchmaking seems fine. 😏

- @Gabrielmojo26 And this is the issue. The lobbies are only fair and balanced and fun if people slay or win.
@hayhorYou really need to stop insinuating on here, my lobbies today are fair, i’m not slaying, i’m having good teammates, and worthy opponents, a leveled playing field for once.
If we complain on here, you go on the EA/Respawn defense squad, if we’re positive, you still “whine and cheese”, for a forum plant with a champion badge, you don’t often bring much to the table apart from waving around what you think is the better opinion lol.
