How’s the matchmaking recently?
People are reporting that they’re having more balanced matches today. This comes after Sammy Duc said that they’re making MM changes in December. So did you notice any difference today?

- @Cheese9Man All time low as a day one player. I'm forced to play ranked if I want to play with anyone that has some sort of experience with the game. When I play pubs as a lvl 112 Prestige my other two randoms are usually lower than lvl 150 with less than 30 kills on their Legend and die seconds after landing.
Still freaking terrible.
Did my 2 matches tonight as Fuse. First one was longer cause that squad played edges, but not smart like @reconzero and so we got killed trying to make it in thru a chokepoint, of course. All of 59 damage, mostly with a panicked Knuckle Cluster.
2nd match they had to hot drop the boxing ring on olympus, both of them downed in less than 15 seconds from landing (because of course they hot drop as slow as possible). I just noped right out and logged out without firing a shot.
Got the message you are sending loud and clear EA/Respawn - you don't actually want me playing your game, so I will stop. I'll come back in some 30 or 40 days when the first "story" pages unlock, read those, and log right back out without playing.
I must be in the minority as I have not really noticed any difference.
Having said that, as a (this season) 2.15 KDr player I got into a fight with a Bang y'day who was so bad at shooting I felt sorry for killing her.
Plus, in another game I was watching a Horizon who had my banner shoot and she was all over the place.
But, I haven't noticed an increase in players who are significantly better at the game than me. I didn't get any wins but I was left 1v1 in one v a Cat who I took down from full purple shield + health (I was Seer) to around 20 in health in a straight gun fight with a G7 which I began with no shields as I didn't have time to pop a bat.

Nowhere did you say it felt fair.
We never see anyone say "The sbmm stinks, my lobbies are way too easy."
Glad you are having fun. Hope it continues. Everyone has trails in mine. The lobbies feel like the season end lobbies level of sweat. These are premade lobbies so it’s made up of absolute noob premades that we’ll steamroll then against preds/masters that will steamroll us. LOL.
I normally wait between 5 to 10 minutes to enter a BR solo. Which may sound bad, but it was much longer in season 13. I joined my PS friend this morning for giggles. They were there to survive 200 players. I joined him to make the wait shorter, yet we seemed to wait the same amount of time. If you are talking about who your team members are in PUGs, it seems to be picking low level players with a death fetish for my matches.
Most of the time, if I am dropping in solo, I can go use the bathroom, grab a cup of coffee, and return to see the dropship crossing the map. If it is with my friends, the time only seems shorter because we can converse with each other. If I am dropping with the random users, it is still a mess no matter how you slice it.

And as far as mid season goes this is more or less strict or the same? - @Xubunnytwo What server are you on? When you say solo do you mean no fill or queueing with randoms?
- @hayhor If not all, pretty sure 80% of the lobby are premades. We’re all 3 diamond level players.
I would say about the same difficulty wise and we’re only rusty at the game for not playing for 2 weeks. i have been getting weird matches. i get matches where the other people are super cautious and get scared when i play like normal wandering around by myself and people have laser aim and never miss and seem to know when i peek out and pre fire me.
its been really rough for these games so i die in these crazy games the team puts themselves in odd hard places and need help or leave me defenseless then i help them and die or are behind them and get third partied its really rough.
then after many of these and me dying the game lets me have normal lobbies where i play like i have been all this time and its good and i win sometimes.
but yeah the matchmaking has been really wonky since the last update a few days ago before respawn went on xmas vacation. i mean at least give me a gun and point me in the right direction its so hard no gun and getting third partied and following running people who die in the middle of several teams its just ugly.
