How likely is it to reach Diamond?

How likely is it to reach Diamond if I'm still Bronze? 😃 lol If it's unrealistic, I won't even go for it, but if I could grind it out, I'd need a team on PS4. Haven't played much Ranked but those t...

Very realistic if you're a competent player. In my opinion, there is very little difference in skill level from bronze rank to gold right now (in EU at least). You could probably solo it until platinum. That said, even platinum is fairly easy, especially in a duo. Diamond is where you'll be at a major disadvantage unless you're in a full squad.

@cbut1nDisagree with you. Numbers don’t lie. Players get stuck in platinum not diamond...only 2.1% of all players have made diamond...

Bronze: 5.1%

Silver: 40.0%

Gold: 35.7%

Platinum: 16.8%

Diamond: 2.1%

Apex Predator: 0.2%

Well at this point the limit is not only being top3% of everyone, but also having enough time to play 200-400 games in the 1 week that's left.

@DavidW74 Numbers can and do lie. Lots of players can't be bothered to push for higher ranks that would have been able to do so.

Also a large portion of the player base aren't competent.

You have to be a very good player to get past Plat without a team. Very few do and those that can have or like you said, can't be bothered to push for it...Does not change the numebrs. Time or skill, platinum is where most get stuck in the climb.

    @DavidW74Getting a team together to help him climb shouldn't be so difficult but I agree he's probably out of time now.

    @NaRnIaaa I don't play 24/7 just some hours most days and occasional grind but I love fps games, what can I say!
    
    Edit: Level doesn't indicate competence.. I know some players that have 10k+ kills on a char and still run off to skull town solo chasing teams and rage when things don't go the way they wanted when a less confident and lower level player might have stuck together or communicated more and had a very different outcome.
